"Morgan - A Suitable Case for Treatment" (1966) was Vanessa Redgrave's movie debut and is one of the funniest and most surreal and stylish comedies I know. I took every instance of the word "Morgan" (mostly said or screamed by Vanessa) and strung them all together. I can't deny that it certainly makes me feel very good listening to this gorgeous lady calling me again and again! (Irene Handl, Arthur Mullard and Robert Stephens also call me a couple of times).

INSIDE SATIE is one of the first albums I recorded in Japan shortly after moving here in 1985. In three days I improvised on several of my favourite Satie themes. Mostly I played piano as well as the rich, analog-sounding Yamaha GS-1 (precursor of the DX-7), and sometimes used long tape delays to build layers of sound. All the pieces were recorded in single takes - no overdubs (no time!). Three original pieces were added as bonus tracks on the 1998 CD reissue.

My creative partner and life partner Cara Levick and I had a visit from the stork last spring. Eloise Olive has brightened our lives immeasurably. Though as some of you know, having a baby does make it more difficult for moms and dads to get out and dance. Our solution to this conundrum was to create a daytime dance party in which babies and kids are invited to dance alongside their parents and friends. Our non-parent friends were just as interested in having a dance experience outside of a club, bar, festival or even an underground all-nighter. This continuing event is for those who really need to work it out on the dance floor and for whom the middle of the day is the perfect time to do it. Feath will DJ and Cara will make it magical.
  We heard news about the Ghost Ship fire when we woke up on December 3rd.  Shocked and desperate to know of our friends' safety, we did the only thing we could... roll forward with the party in their honor and work it out on the dance floor. This set is dedicated whole heartedly to Chelsea Faith aka Cherushii who I had the pleasure of meeting and playing with last New Year's Eve as well as the incredible group of people who moved on to that great dance party in the sky the night of Friday, December 2nd . May the music never end. You are us...We are you.
