This beautiful prayer from Ayla Schafer has been masterfully reworked by Nils Olav to seamlessly bring this powerful message to the dance floor. The deeply rooted lyrics from Ayla remind us of deeper levels of our being and our interconnectedness with spirit. It is a reminder that this connection is always present in the form of guidance that is supporting our path home. Sometimes it isn’t always clear how guides actually influence us and support our path forward and Ayla subtly points to how this manifests in our lives. 

Nils tunes in deeply to this message and accents the emotions behind them with his delicate remix, taking us even deeper into celebration of this sacred life. Nils comes from a background of being an internationally touring club DJ who has gone through is own transformation these last years and has been deeply touched by this emerging world of organic, heart centered dance music. Not only has he stepped powerfully into this role of a new paradigm music producer, he also runs the highly revered medicine music label Nixi Records which has supported the voices of many of the top musicians offering their medicine to the world through sound including Ayla’s most recent album “Silent Voices”. Nils shares himself: “Guiding & Protecting” was one of my fave songs from Aylas album “Silent Voices”. I always visioned it could work in slightly more groove based version. So happy she gave me the opportunity to do so.

Om Namah Shivaya is an offering to the world from friends and collaborators Atma, Mose and J.Pool. The main melody and lyrics were channeled through Atma supported by experiences with the spiritual leader Mooji. In his presence, she reconnected with the deep truth that beyond the individuality and thoughts that we identify with, we are pure consciousness. The intention is that by chanting this mantra, we open to more love and presence while feeling more connected to the divine and thus more deeply connected to the nature, to ourselves, and to the unity of all things.

Atma, Mose and J.Pool came together in Nicaragua as part of a music production retreat organized by the iconic Momentom Collective. Producers Mose and J.Pool were touched by the depth and beauty present in the raw emotion and love present in the music of Atma and were called to support the development of this song into its present form. It is a beautiful testament to honoring our strengths in support of our community to manifest something together that would not be possible alone. With music, and specifically mantra or any type of collective chanting, we have the opportunity to sing each other home. May this music bring you deeper connectivity and a sense of peace and unity.

When I first heard this track from Doe Paoro I was immediately captivated by the simple yet profound lyrics. This message of life as a ceremony and the recognition that we are always being presented with the experiences that help us grow is a concept I hold close in my heart. Humbleness is something I have also given a lot of attention to so this mantra “I’m still learning” carries something that I was able to go deep into during my remix. It was so touching to journey deep into these melancholy yet euphoric melodies and it is my hope that you receive some of the bliss I encountered in the creative process.

This EP was created as a dedication to water. We believe water is life and want to honor the water not only as a gift and birth right, but also as a medicine. We pray that all future generations can have clean water, that we could take care of all the waters of the world; the rivers, the oceans, the lakes, and that we could learn to take care of the water inside of us. 

This EP was inspired by a show that I created honoring water for a musical residency in Mykonos, Greece where I was surrounded by water daily. We would sing and play water songs before an altar that honored the water and finish our show by offering the water from the altar back to the ocean. 

Thank you for listening and supporting this mission of wellness and consciousness for our beautiful and sacred Mother Earth and her waters.

Agua de Flores, a co-creation with Mose, is the only song I have not created, it is a personal adaptation of a ceremony song called Agua de Flores that I sang while living in Mexico between the sea and the deep water of a cenote. The vocals were recorded together with Mose in Berlin and was produced by him with elements given to him by Steffen.

The "Ancestral Elephants“ project is born out of love for creation and creativity, inspired by festivals, music, people, traveling different cultures and realms.
