Following on from Melodic Motion, Martin Matiske returns to Bordello A Parigi with a track that first appeared over a decade ago. Released on his first album on Stilleben, “Dimension Phantasy” has been dusted down and given a new lease of life. This extended version bubbles with the same energy as the original. Steady kicks give way to scaling chords as a racing piece of future-gazing brilliance takes hold. Melodies are addictive, yet cold, with common ground between disco and electro being forged. Sharing the 12” real estate are two good friends, each offering their own remix. Captain Mustache is a musician who can turn his hand to any style. Here the French producer remains true to the Matiske’s version, adding layers of warmth while maintaining the Springtime coolness of beats and harmonies. The flip is given over to Play Paul, a trailblazing figure in electronics. BPMs are reduced as sweetened lines take flight in the “Oh Lord! Remix”. Arpeggiators rumble before bold keys and heartfelt vocals enter in this emotive reinterpretation. The finale strips back lyrics to focus on those succulent synthesizer sounds. A celebration of past, present and future on one very special release.

Vaälha is a DJ, producer, and event organizer based in Nantes, France. His unique style is inspired by the music and cinema of the 70s and 80s, indie dance, italo disco, progressive house, trance, and techno.

As the founder of the EFMR association, he has created charity concerts for local humanitarian organizations, which have allowed him to perform in iconic venues throughout the Grand Ouest, from clubs to outdoor festivals.

In 2020, he formed the duo Neowise and released several EPs on prestigious labels such as Nein Records, Ulla Records, and Midnight People.

His infectious energy and passion for music have quickly earned him recognition in the region. He is eclectic in his sets, and he enjoys adding a cinematic dimension to his music.

He enjoys sharing his music because it is a universal language for him that transcends borders and differences. It resonates with his soul and evokes indescribable emotions that he has the privilege of sharing with his audience.

When it comes to Nu Disco, there is absolutely no doubt Spa In Disco is considered one of the most notable labels of the European scene. Now, the same competence big boss Fran Deeper (SXDNS189) has always used to curate his respected imprint will be put to good use in his new project: Boite Music aims to pursue a different sonority, influenced by the dark side of different kinds of electronic music, from peak time Indie Dance to obscure Synthwave or slow and deep Balearic chuggers. A fresh, serious, and modern approach to the club heart: The dance floor.

For the third release of the newcomer, Fran gathered an interesting line-up of artists: AINZ, Juan Soto, Tony Disco (SXDNS111), G. Zamora, and Lafrench Toast. We chose the latter’s contribution to review and couldn’t be any happier. The Colombian DJ and producer brought his House, Nu Disco, Alternative Rock, New Wave, Synthpop, and Techno influences together and delivered a hell of a track to the compilation. “Cosmic Arena” is groovy and dark, intense and melodic, energetic and trippy... In sum, it accomplishes the mission of a great tune: It triggers (good) emotions, sensations, and impressions. Too bad it cannot be played out loud in a packed club at the moment, but do yourself a favour and keep it in your repertoire until you have the opportunity. You will not regret it!
