Incoming! Today we premiere a track from Dublin born and raised producer, now residing in the hot sunny climate of Sydney, Lorćan Mak aka Nu Horizonz.

A more than familiar name in clubs up and down the country, Lorćan Mak cut his teeth in the Dublin scene, where you'd find him playing week in week out at pretty much every club, venue and after party that you could think of, such was his popularity. 

Fast forward a decade, the Dubliner now soaks up the hot sunny rays of Sydney, Australia, but has never drifted far from his love for music, events, parties and production, which is where we kick off today.

What we hear today, with Lorćan's Nu Horizonz monikor is a culmination of over a decade of experimentation and development, as the producer presents his 'Nu Moon EP', which is due out on 'Only Noise Recordings'.

Spacey and atmospheric electronic grooves that merge house, breaks and techno with organic synthesis, acid lines & rhythmic textures. Nu Horizonz primary mission was to explore new frontiers in music in order to bring euphoria to humankind, which we think he does just that.

1 city, 10 artists in 1 collection - like the concept for showcasing the scene. Bring to the light hidden treasures and materials of the bedroom producers and sound do-it-yourselfers from the corner of northern Bohemia.

What a strange but nice city Liberec is - the scenery is of pointlessly jumbled architecture, rows of opulent historical villas, evidence of a region which in the interwar period was referred to as the Sudetenland, surrounded by forests, and above messy streets and the prominent buildings of the Castle or the Town Hall, in the distance, Ještěd Tower, like a giant metal sting above all, jabbed on the top of the mountain ...

The eclectically ornated – similar to the visuality of the city by itself - compilation ended up both unclassifiable by imaginary genres but "stylish", enchantingly bewilder and thus enrich the visitors just like the town it originally came from ...

Bloated – Hushed beginnings quickly make way for missile-like snares and medicine ball solid kicks. Cloud like pads sit atop smashed up 808 percussion edits and in the pocket bass. We ebb and flow confidently, climaxing with a string lead, which sounds part melodica, part neon chorus fog before returning for 1 last go-round of the central message.

Oiseaux – Oiseaux combines crunched up Latin rhythms, 90s Metalheadz bass pressure and slithery pads, all contributing to a fathoms deep ‘what the fuck actually is it’ vibe. Subtle variations in the layered up kick and ride patterns take us all the way through to the entrance of an all-conquering squelchy synth line which leads us all the way out the back door.

Crisps – Crisps centres around a smudged minimalist to and fro between icey Juno pads and a chunky delayed ARP sound. All of this rides over smashed kicks and percussion loops, which swell and surge all the way to the end, but not before we meet the glowing diversion of a stabby beatdown breakdown.

Tears – Tape manipulations of chewy pads and ARP patterns lead us through to a chuggy 2 step rhythm and big barrel of a stab bass. Regal string lines and 909 rides enter later on. Reload friendly mainly because it’s all over before it’s even begun."

“Amor i Ritme” is the music of solidarity: 27 artists united in a single beat. A release that travels through different sounds and styles from ambient and house to industrial EBM, techno and acid in solidarity with one of the most emblematic places of the electronic music scene in Spain. The compilation features contributions from Andy Butler of American group Hercules and Love Affair feat Intuit Dazey, Belgrade-based producer and disc-jockey Lipelis, Periodica Records affiliate Whodamanny, and Madrid-via-Chile DJ-producer Fernanda Arrau alongside Multi Culti producer Balam, who join names from across the Spanish electronic scene such as Pau Roca, ALVVA, Jaisiel and Barcelona duo People You May Know, formed by Phran and Ylia, GAZZI, among others.

All proceeds will be split 50/50 between two charities who are helping to raise money for those affected and to rebuild communities that have been devastated: Aldis Paiporta, which helps people with disabilities who have lost everything, and the Horta SuD Foundation, which works with civil society to stimulate and strengthen the social fabric in the Valencian Community, with special attention given to programmes developed in the region of Horta Sud (Valencia).
