One of the most consistent new labels around, Cyphon Recordings, marks double figures with another standout release that gleans from the past, but faces the future. This time they look to the talents of Emotive Technology, a new alias from Chilean Massiande who provides a five-track EP of machine-wielding, soul-rousing techno from across the spectrum.

Although this may be the first release under his new moniker, Massiande has spent the last decade putting out productions with labels such as Ibadan, Phonica, Freerange and Groovin. Firing on all cylinders from the get-go, ‘Rise’ kicks off the Walk Into The Light EP. A hyperspace melding of new beat, Italo and arp-operating techno that opens out into a slice of peak-time revelry. The swirling textures of ‘It’s On’ follow, pushing you into the next dimension. A hypnotic, entrancing and arresting heads-down powerhouse. Crunchy and considered it's the kind of strobe-stuttering basement jam that turns heads inside out.

Two Detroit-leaning tracks ‘Your Zone’ and ‘Walk IntoThe Light’ are up next. The former is a heavyweight machine workout. Layered synth lines and crisp drum programming transfix, as that grooving low-end powers bodies into bedlam. The latter, a Motor-City influenced tour de force. One that sees Massiande recode the circuitry to hit with a piano-laden stunner, balancing power and presence, with emotion and nuance.

Closing out proceedings, ‘The Swing’ sucks you in deeper. A resonating world of synth stabs, pulsating basslines and atmospheric electronics. Doing the Emotive Technology namesake proud, Walk Into The Light is machine music hardwired with a heavy sense of soul.

Boston staple Nick Minieri delivers two tracks that showcase Minieri’s love of swinging and sampling on the “L8 Nite Keys” EP. Originating as a snowy jam session with fellow Bostonian GMGN on hardware synths, the title track was chopped, re-sequenced and re-imagined by Minieri multiple times. The best attempt presented here, “L8 Nite Keys” explores the mature side of house with soulful vocal chops cut in UK Garage fashion. On the flip, Minieri combines dub-delayed synths, a swinging arpeggio, and a timeless Korg M1 bass patch to form “Pixel Perfect.” Crafted in the cold of winter, its carefree tropes pull you straight into spring, summer, and beyond.

Patrick Kimber is a Chilean DJ and an electronic music producer. His project, Cameron Audio, dates back to 2020. Patrick’s music usually lies between breaks and ambient with a lo-fi aesthetic. Cameron Audio has also released songs for Panal Records and Orion Network labels compilations. Since then, his work has evolved and presents us now in Halcxn his new EP called Azul Marino.

Azul Marino is an EP composed of five tracks, recorded between 2023 and 2024. These songs were inspired by ambient and club music. This EP is the second work of the Chilean producer, after the release of ‘Archivos’ on 'De Goya Sounds' label.

In Azul Marino he showcases a more focused approach, with a few dance-floor cuts as well as his signature ambient influence. Songs like ‘Got Me Lookin’ 4 Ya’ and ‘Prog GPT’ have been influenced by jungle, breaks and garage, inspired by a UK nineties sound. Other songs in the EP have a more “soundscape” edge, such as the downtempo “Oscilar”, as well as the title track. Finally, ‘Soul’ merges atmospheric vibes with a broken but steady beat.

Azul Marino closes an important stage of Patrick’s career, which will undoubtedly be the boost he needs to continue his work as a DJ and producer.

Born and raised in the sunny hills of Luberon, in the south of France, Immersif knows exactly how to get hearts beating to the beat of his music. Already recognisable on the house scene, he comes to Sengiley Recordingas his four-track multi-genre release - The Creative Act EP. It's a true creative act that makes you immerse yourself in a world of sounds and emotions.

The Creative Act talks about the process of artistic creation : how we digest how our inspirations to give life to something new and personal, and the contrast between all the self-doubtness and the "strokes-of-genius-feelings" that reach us when we're making music.
Belvedere 707 - was made just after a digging journey trough the late 2010's lo-fi house era, and the chicago deep house scene from the late 90's / early 2000's. The result is a tribute track melting this two differents but very similar eras of the deep house spectrum, united by a melancholic spirit and a minimalistic approach.
Winter in a seaside resort -  as indicated by his name, i have produced this track coming back from a winter holiday break along the mediterranean french coast, in the peaceful town of "Le Grau-du-Roi", totally deserted at this period. I was driving at sunset through the empties palm trees alleys, fascinated by the strong nostalgic feeling emerging from this scenery. The result is a melancholic track, with breaky drums, dubby stabs and g-funk synths, all that through my mind when i was thinking about this memories.
Are You Still Watching -  is a story-telling track, no genres, no pre-defined schemas, just tryin to musically represent some memories, the most difficult but also the funniest exercise.
