Berlin House duo, MAT.JOE are called up for another MOTHER reunion, this time returning to one of the hottest house labels out there with a two track heater of an EP, ‘Sunshine’.

‘Sunshine’ will no doubt be leaving the dancefloors steaming, pitting together an array of percussive house beats, funky interludes and energetic vocal howls against their signature drops of thunderous basslines.

‘What You Want’ is most definitely the cheekier of the two, mixing up a teasing range of funky pads, cheeky guitar riffs and seductive vocal whispers to finally come together and ignite the room through their tasty bassline drops.

Our Kiwi brother DILBY was on fire in 2018. He delivered 2 EP's on MOTHER RECORDINGS and managed to secure back to back Top 10 hits with each release. Well, if this new EP is any indication, 2019 is going to be even bigger!

Up first is „Rio Grande“. A club destroying dance floor heater that features DILBY ́s signature drum filled tribalism on top of a punchy, grooving sub bass. Of course it wouldn't be a DILBY jam without a catchy sing-along vocal which brings even more ethnic flavour to this hedonistic afro workout!

On the flip we are treated to an energetic house bomb titled „Keep On Dancing“. This is a powerful club record which gives off a distinct late 90's vibe with it's filtered disco groove and tough analog drum programming. A deep, warm bass line rolls heavily across the low frequency as loopy vocal hooks and crunchy vocal shots keep the dance floor locked in as the energy erupts in the break.

Dortmund label Kittball enlist German based artists Chris Di Perri & Domenic D’Agnelli who deliver their ‘Bulldozer’ EP featuring a remix from ViVA MUSiC duo Anek.

Hailing from Cologne, Chris Di Perri made his debut appearance as a DJ at Berlin’s Solar nightclub at just seventeen, the venue he would later hold a residency in. He now shares the stage with artists like Sven Väth, Format:B and Kittball bosses Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora across various German venues. Di Perri’s productions have been released on Deer Deer, Upon You, not to mention CusCus Music where he and Italian artist Domenic D’Agnelli first collaborated. D’Agnelli is hailed as one of the key cogs in the early 90s Munich and Frankfurt club scene, organising parties, and performing at the likes of Pulverturm, Ultraschall, The Box, in addition to his residency at Flokati.

‘Bulldozer’ offers up distant vocals on a rolling sub that build up into a dark damaging bass and steady beat, before ‘Bullis Little Bro’ delivers staccato bass stabs amidst a catchy synth riff and clinical percussion. Then Danish female duo Anek, who’ve appeared on Moon Harbour, Gruuv and Oblack, remix ‘Bulldozer’, offering an infectious hi-hat and snare, enveloping bass and flanging atmospherics.

Dortmund-based imprint Kittball welcomes a heavyweight collaboration between Bunny Tiger founder Sharam Jey and London’s Vanilla Ace who deploy two vibrant cuts entitled ‘My Thang’.
Since the ‘90s Sharam Jey has produced over 100 releases on labels like Toolroom, 8Bit and Suara, not to mention helming his own imprints King Kong and Bunny Tiger. Meanwhile, Vanilla Ace has made appearances on Spinnin’ Deep, Simma Black and Night Bass. The pair first collaborated with each other on Sharam Jey’s Bunny Tiger in 2013 and have worked with each other numerous times since.
A meaty kick and rolling snares meet an infectious vocal line in ‘My Thang’ as a sultry low-end rumbles onwards. ‘The Boom Bap’ then presents a fine display of percussive hits and heady breaks, moody bassline, chopped up vocal samples and sinister effects.
