Most of us, unfamiliar with the nuances of alchemy, view it as the predecessor of our modern sciences, like medicine, chemistry, metallurgy. But, it was much, much more. The alchemists were dissolving and regenerating the elements together with their experiences and their identity to create something completely new within themselves. As the famous alchemical saying goes: "Solve et Coagula", dissolve and coagulate.

Combining sounds is a form of alchemy as well. De-solidfying and de-constructing sounds together with our own journeys, we actively transform and evolve. Like an alchemist, I first felt, analyzed and separated these sounds on the one hand; consolidated and integrated them with my own diary on the other other hand. Let’s now hear not only the pairs Gold/Silver, Sulphur/Mercury but also the pairs Sun/Moon, Spirit/Matter, and Light/Dark.

Fueled with positive energy from so many familiar faces, the entire closing celebrations setup, this SHOELESS madness turned into one of my favourite weekends of the year.   I can't thanks Bas Engels & the entire alter ego crew enough for the euphoric times last weekend led me to and for making me and my friends feel at home & on vacation at the same time. 

This was me in power mode, scrolling through my wide collection on saturday evening to create a power session of house & weirdness to close off the shoeless chapter with a bang. Much gratitude to everyone who partied with me & overwhelmed each other with so many smiles. 

I look forward to their next chapter when they bring SMALL MATTERS to town. Hugs unders..

Another glowing chapter of the history of the agricultural music scene, traces the growth and development of a swiss farmhouse from a tiny village to a mountain city and eventually blossoming into a premier centre of sound and trade. This development played a tremendous role in the progress of Copycow and surrounding animals like Jean Caillou.
To Come clean had its own shares of ups and downs. Wars, famines, plague, recession, strikes and a major explosion, were some of the setbacks. The swiss farmhouse survived them all emerging like a phoenix and rising to great heights and prosperity through a process of deep evolution.

What a night ! Thank you Global Hybrid and Rafael Aragon for inviting me to play during this 11th edition of Deep Tribal & Ethno Techno at the Zodiak from 3h30 to 6h30. This is my 3h set with intense deep tech, melodic techno, progressive and oriental good tunes. The recording session started after 15 sec from the start of the set :-)

For the eleventh installment of its DEEP TRIBAL & ETHNO TECHNO party at ZODIAK, Global Hybrid Records takes you to Brazil, right on point for the carnival season, by inviting some of its most groundbreaking artists. 

If you've been following and attending our parties these last two years, then you've probably heard of the VOODOOHOP collective (remember R Vincenzo & Peter Power ?). Hailing from Sao Paulo's most underground parties, this gathering of artists has spread its slow-rave neo-tropicalist sound to the globe's most interesting festivals and clubs. We are really thrilled to welcome this time URUBU MARINKA, one of Voodoohop's most brilliant artists. Now living in Germany, this producer and dj extraordinaire comes from the most african city of South America, Salvador de Bahia. She's known for her slow, ravy organic sound and her sense of storytelling through music. Be ready for an unforgetable closing set ! 

Also emerging from Sao Paulo's nightlife, the genre-breaking, art-blending hedoist duet VENGA, VENGA is finally returning to Brussels ! They mesmerized the crowd during their first appearance in 2016, and we couldn't be happier to bring back this colourful, eclectic guys ! They released last year their first EP, co-produced by our common friend Miret, and they are now rich of the experience of many gigs throughout Europe and South America. We can't wait to experience their new hybrid set ! 

Another talented duo is coming back for our immense pleasure, french-brazilian Psycho Tropiques, from the hyper-active parisian collective and label Curuba. They will be joined by two wonderful belgian artists, globe-trotter dj and sound purveyor Paulinska and visual artist and dj Piccaya, well know in the Belgian and European burner community. 

Last but not least, you will enjoy banging sets from our residents Alizarina the gypsy-techno clarinet wizard and Rafael Aragon for a trance-inducing ethnodelic roller-coaster. As usual, expect some eye-candy decoration from the Global Hybrid family and a chill-out space to breathe between two sweaty dance sessions !
