The thing I love most about Burning Man is no matter how much you think you've prepared, you still never really know what to expect. The uncertainty, the excitement, the apprehension, and sometimes even the fear of what's just around the corner is what keeps so many of us coming back every year with a renewed childlike wonder - a feeling that seems to slip away as we get older. Sometimes everything goes right, and sometimes things just go wrong. 2014 was a mixed bag for me with some high highs (spending time with amazing people, getting to DJ in the best place in the world, seeing some incredible forms of expression) and low lows (namely falling hard on my back off of a see-saw putting me in constant pain for the entire week - it even hurt to laugh!)...but at the end of the day, I got exactly what I bargained for and couldn't ask for anything more: I experienced the unexpected.

In contrast to the previous two years on the bus, this year I played first on Friday night and took a little sonic stroll around different sounds and moods to open the night before Bedouin beautifully escalated the night into proper party mode...Pardon any sloppy mixing, we can just blame that on my aching back :)

Thanks to everyone who was there early in the night to catch my set, and thanks to everyone listening at home, Robot Heart, and Dr Burridge for the continued support over the years...Having the opportunity to do what I do is such a great gift from all of you.

Malachi (pronounced Mal-a-kai)… DJ / Producer since 2000: (aka Audiowhores, Graham Lord, Word of Mouth). “Malachi” is the new frontier for this well established artist who despite being young & progressive was quoted as being a “House Music Veteran” by Toolroom Records in 2015. 

In the early days of jazzy / soulful house Malachi gained a wealth of musical knowledge & skills working with a plethora of Jazz musicians. Original productions at that time featured an array of guitar, sax, keys & strings which in today’s electronic / synthesised world is almost unheard of. Never the less this experience undoubtedly consolidates Malachi’s musical forte as we know it today.

Chai Kowski has an Ukrainian ancestry hence his surname:  Tschaikowski. But he was born in Germany and producing music since 10-year-old. He has been  backpacking during two years. In that period had reserved a year to tour of the South America also Central America where he traveled to Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica & Nicaragua without time&plan&hurry. 
Since he's back in Germany he co-founded the https://soundcloud.com/conartism, a colletive  who come together to promote on a noncommercial level parties in the most craziest places under the open sky of Bremen, sometimes getting hunted from the police for it. It is a royal invitation to explore the urbanicity encompassed by music, where people can have fun, smile& experience unexploited sensations. Chai is also currently very excited about his first bookings for next summer festivals, gigs at Zurück Zu Den Wurzeln Festival and Zugvögel Festival.
This 29th edition was inspired by Chai's look-backing re-experience of his previous trip-trippy on South America. He remembered a lot of things which he almost had forgotten. He felt again the cold of the  Andes  biting his face in over 6000m &also heard the rain of the Amazon, recalled the dragging from Ayhuasca and  the blue&strong caribbean on his feet. Rolandson, a self-described “child of the Baltic Sea” whose roots lie in Sweden/Uppsala and Rostock, currently lives in a quiet city called Halle an der Saale. The amiable 38-year old’s heart beats for so many beautiful things he has discovered in his travels that he sees himself as a traveller who “transforms his thoughts and feelings into pictures, and transforms those pictures into mixtapes”. His sets often reflect his own unique thoughts and feelings and give the listener a deeper look into who he is and what moves him. To quote a wise man: “It is the work of he whose intention was not to impress, but to be true, that will persist.” (Jean Cocteau)

Rolandson has been playing music for 20 years now and has been enchanting his listeners with unbelievable sets that he often gets lost in himself.
His sound transcends the boundaries of genre or style - a characteristic that applies to him not only musically but also personally: he avoids clichés and instead strives for originality and musical diversity. 

When he’s not behind the decks, he’s the driving force behind his netlabel and podcast series “Seasidetrip”, which he started in 2012 after recording a mix at sea. Since the first Seasidetrip mix, many artists have have interpreted their love and longing for the sea in their own mixes, contributing to the growth of this wonderful project which has not only touched the hearts of its listeners, but also led to many friendships and inspiring collaborations with other artists along the way.

Rolandson invites you to join him in making the world a bit more colourful, a bit more diverse and saturated with unique music.

Originating from ancient Greek, Mousikē is the union of 3 things; words with our without meaning, physical moves that we call dance and the evolution of music.

Rising from the land of muses, Anatolia; Mousikē started as a Soundcloud page & private parties in Istanbul. Now it turned into a series of musical gatherings all around the world, which ended up as a vibrant community with a great variety of colours and tastes.
