The man. The meme. The legend. Evan Geltosky (@eg562 aka Sunrise Energy Club) has been using his tremendous design talents to elevate PDX rave-life, both as resident designer @spendthenightpdx and as designer of the Canyon Vibration logo and officially sanctioned meme content. 

As his designs would suggest, he’s got deep crates of psychedelic records. The more ambient of those were used to great effect in his opening set for canyon vibration. Not to worry if you missed it while setting up your tent. Here's the recording

Alfonso Pomeda is one of the finest underground artists from Madrid, not only in the Electronic music world, but as a person totally dedicated and involved in different music projects like his now online only record store “…Is The Place” or being the co-director of the spanish events Sonikas and CALMA. He also co-directs the labels Downbeat, Eleve and Memories on Wax and Alpenglühen which takes the ambient path.

As a DJ, he covers a great variety of styles like 4x4 electronics, experimental music, ambient, the more atmospheric horizontal Techno and American House.
Wise music artist with progressive, deep and long mix sessions, pretending to be trips and stories with a beginning and an end, with special attention to speech.

This month, Alfonso’s label Downbeat has a vinyl reléase in coming with music by one of his label parters Jose Rico.

Avenue Red proudly welcomes the debut podcast episode from producer, DJ and label boss Rai Scott, who is based in the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. Rai is one half of 2DeepSoul together with her partner in life and music, Brad Peterson - a fellow deep head and master craftsman who did Podcast number 021 for us 8 years ago! Together they run the excellent label Inner Shift Music.

As well as releasing on their own imprints the duo have their music unleashed across a fine array of respected underground labels including Ornate Music; Echocentric Records; Church; Minuendo Recordings; Andy Vaz's label, Yore Records; Altered Moods Recordings; and most recently Rai created the opening release of Avenue Red resident selector Caillou's new upcoming label, Chateau Chepère.

For her instalment of the BIG 200 Rai has created a CD-length vinyl mix of raw, soulful, jazzy, deep, groovy house music with some eclectic, eyebrow-raising twists at the finale. Here we have such a truly sublime, tasteful and classy selection mixed with a wonderfully organic touch. We expected nothing less.
