Nocta Numerica meets the 2018 with very special release and this is the first collaboration between the label and one of my favorite electronic music artists: Timothy J. Fairplay. He doesn't need to be introduced. Everyone into the game knows who is that. 
"I’ve always been a contrary f**ker” -  thats what he say about himself. For me the guy is genius who does not resemble to anyone.
For this ninth release, TJF made a 4-track EP in his unique and reconizable style - solid release that can not be ignored.
I am very happy to collaborate with Nocta Numerica for the first premiere of the EP with the track "Pure Hex" -  5 minutes energetic cosmic flight with chic air percussion and romantic synthesizers - certainly the main decoration of the release.
"An Introduction To Consumer Electronics" will be out at the begining of 2018, limited to 300 copies. Don't sleep on this one !

Comprising German and South African talented, the LADS duo combined to incredible effect in September 2017. Releasing their debut original EP, the three-track "Miss Jean" saw the pair create a musical triptych of the highest quality. Now returning to the EP, "She" receives remixes from UK and Russian stars.

James Monro is an artist with a musical career and production portfolio that is the envy of many. Born in the UK but now firmly settled in his adopted Brazilian home, the classically trained musician has found himself at the epicentre of the underground dance movement. A globally touring DJ whose spellbinding sets continue to build a growing fan base, Monro's history in the industry as DJ, producer and label owner, is long and distinguished. A production portfolio that has seen him feature on John Digweed's Bedrock "Structures 2" compilation and heavily supported by Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Robert Babicz, has also seen a century of releases on imprints that include Flow Records, Iboga and his own 4DigitalAudio with partner Grant Collins. A regular on Proton Music, April 2017's "In the Ether" celebrated a career-long passion for music with a very personal twelve-track magnum opus that saw Monro at the very peak of his powers. After remixes of Huminal and Simos Tagias in 2016 and '17, Monro now returns to the label with an outstanding rework of "She". Using the components from the LADS original to magnificent effect, a growling, pumping bassline and driving rhythm provide the basis for the loquacious vocal sample to sit atop in menacing, pitched fashion. A glorious collage of new melodic material adds texture and depth that builds in dynamic fashion in the third movement to create a dance floor destroyer.

Zack Yakovlev is an artist who has truly captured the imagination of the underground fraternity through his R. Fentz pseudonym. Originally from Russia but based in the US for most of his life, the San Francisco artist has been a regular around the clubs of his hometown for a number of years, opening for the likes of Solomun, Maya Jane Coles and Paul Kalkbrenner as well as residencies with the all-powerful Desert Hearts crew and performances at Burning Man, Sunset Campout and the Desert Hearts festivals. Already signed to XLR8R, Mioli Music and OM, his nascent R. Fentz moniker has seen a clutch of deep house releases that have shone a bright spotlight on the genre with his innovative production style. Thus, the four-track "Exile/Coming Home" EP for Mark Slee and Atish's Manjumasi was a November 2016 highlight, as was "Disbelief" on Nie Wieder Schlafen's "Avanto" compilation. Now debuting on Proton Music, the R. Fentz remix is a magical journey that revels in deep house vibe as seismic kick and offbeat hi-hats create the backdrop for sumptuous sonic textures to emerge and evolve in gloriously organic fashion. Rising and falling with consummate ease, components are used to innovative effect and intelligent placement of the vocal sample immediately anchors "She". Always shifting and moving in dynamic fashion, this is a striking new version of LADS' work.

A pair of remixes from James Monro and R. Fentz sees "She" continue to radiate beauty.
