The 144th release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Natural Flow back to the label for a brand new EP. Hailing from Mexico and Argentina respectively, Hugo Ibarra and Antu Coimbra make up the Natural Flow production team. The duo's deep, mystical take on techno has won over the likes of Tale Of Us, Mind Against, Hunter Game, Fur Coat, Shall Ocin, Agents Of Time, Gardens Of God and Locked Groove. Following a contribution to Movement's 'Modern Filosophy' collection in September of 2015 Natural Flow went on to release their first EP in December of the same year. Now following a well received contribution to the Akbal Records 10 Year anniversary release (again played by Tale Of Us) the duo present their brand new EP entitled 'Floating/Clockwork' alongside a remix from Ran Salman. 

Natural Flow has always challenged people's musical perceptions. Through distinctive design and spacey soundscapes the duo have carved out their own unique place in the underground. 'Floating' showcases this wonderfully with mysterious and deeply compelling architecture. Buzzing sonics built around a smooth, meditative groove and poignant pads make for a gorgeous seven minute journey. The companion piece 'Clockwork' comes in equally mesmerizing with psychedelic structures and alien like design immediately grabbing your attention. Solemn yet hopeful, it's emotive range is vast, accentuated perfectly with devilish hooks and astral trails.

The lone interpretation of 'Floating' is provided by Ran Salman who is making his first appearance on the label. With releases on esteemed imprints such as Einmusika, Steyoyke and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, the Israeli artist has become one of his country's most exciting electronic music talents. Now making his much anticipated debut on Movement Recordings Ran takes 'Floating' into tougher, techno inspired territory. Punchy kicks and waves of growling bass anchor the piece, while dramatic organs and a shifting modular theme build expertly into a symphonic sunrise; spiritually fulfilling and perfectly dialled for the dance floor. The 137th release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Mariano Mellino and John Cosani back to the label for their debut collaborative EP.  The Argentinean duo have achieved much success in their respective solo careers, holding a collective discography with releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Lonya's Asymmetric Recordings. Now coming together for their first ever studio collaborations Mariano and John present 'Syracusse/Islandia' alongside remixes from Danito & Athina and Simos Tagias.

Both Mariano and John have been noted for their progressive minded productions and with their unique talents coming together they take it to a new level on ‘Syracusse’. Shuffled beats and mystical atmospheres create a surreal environment early before smooth rhythms and a rumbling low end lock down a strong groove. It's powerful, meditative drive leads to a cinematic break where waves of synths intensify over the rumbling foundation, ultimately leading to a huge moment and electric third act. 

The lone interpretation of ‘'Syracusse’ is provided by Danito & Athina who are making their first appearance on Movement Recordings.. Hailing from Cologne, Germany Danny Wendt and Tina Charalampidis make up the Danito & Athina production moniker. Although less than two years into their partnership the duo have already amassed a discography that includes releases on Crossfrontier Audio, Suruba, Jeudi Records and Eklektisch. With a fresh approach to progressive music Danito & Athina have taken 'Syracusse' into their own world of dark, mesmerising beats. Staying true to the mystical themes of the original the duo have reworked the foundation into a funky, rolling mass while waves of clattering drums and elastic synths take you further into the cosmos. A perfectly executed break builds tension while drums decay and a wall of twisted noise reignites the groove for a massive dance floor moment. Huge remix from Danito and Athena. 

The companion piece 'Islandia' finds Mariano and John crafting a deep, techno creation that sits as a great complement to 'Syracusse'. Anchored by a fluid wall of sub bass the piece flows through a myriad of trippy motifs and ominous designs. Timely chord changes accent the rolling funk wonderfully before a band of clustered effects initiates the main break. A centrepiece to tantalise the mind, aquatic designs are met with a wave of white noise as one final rush of beats takes you into a third act of melancholic meanderings.

Isolée’s Arrival

When three people run a label together it is exceptionally rare to find a positive unified opinion of a record upon first listen. When Isolée sent his "Mangroove" EP to Maeve, this was in fact what happened. But it is Isolée after all....

Mangroove came about last summer when The Drifter happened to catch Isolée's live set at a festival in Switzerland. Instantly blown away by the A side "Pisco" he was determined to find out what it was and if it was to be released. After chatting, Isolée suggested that he would send "Pisco" along with a couple of other "demos" to Maeve and a few days later the EP was happening.

Isolée has created some of the most important and beautiful records of our generation and has being a huge influence on what we do, thus we are incredibly excited and humbled to release his work.

This three track EP shows several different sides of the Frankfurt native, from the A-side dance floor catalyst that is "Pisco" to the deeper dubbier B-sides of "L5 Syndrome" and "Mangrove". This is the perfect record to mark our tenth release.

Pacco & Rudy B - Krk EP [Suffused Music, SMD168]

The 168th release on Suffused Music welcomes Pacco & Rudy B to the label for their debut single. The Croatian duo have enjoyed immense success over the course of their now 10 year production career. Releases on A Must Have, Proton Music and Spring Tube have all been outstanding, earning support from a wide range of top DJs including Hernan Cattaneo. Now making their much anticipated Suffused Music debut Pacco and Rudy present their new single entitled 'Krk' alongside remixes from Lian July and Yuriy From Russia. 

The original version gets the release off to a strong start with tough kicks, warm atmospheres and a very funky groove. Delicate pianos and panning effects adorn the framework as the first act begins to take shape. A soulful wail transitions the piece through a short break where a bubbly line drops in to lock the groove down a notch further. The main break brings an evolution in the arp for one of many magic moments and continued progression on through to an epic finale. 

The first interpretation of 'Krk' is provided by Lian July who is making her second appearance on Suffused Music. The Israeli artist first appeared on the Lithuanian imprint with her 'Illumina' EP (co-produced with Chris Odium) which was released in November of 2016. Here Lian brings her distinct vision to 'Krk' taking the track into driving, old school territory. It's galloping groove, clattering percussion and emotive chord changes are immediately infectious. An energetic first act is met with a wave of claps, initiating a timely and well constructed break. Rising atmospheres and subtle melodies converge for a magic moment before the driving groove drops back in for a smooth third act conclusion.

The second and final interpretation of 'Krk' is provided by Yuriy From Russia who is making his 14th appearance on the label. The Russian born but now USA based artist last appeared on the Lithuanian imprint with a remix of Bobby Deep's 'Space Hunter' from January of this year. Now fresh off a remix for PHW Elements Yuriy brings his revamped sounds to 'Krk'. With a tech house inspired approach the Russian artist magically weaves kaleidoscopic motifs and haunting melodies into an irresistible cosmic swirl. Burly bass stabs and plucky rhythms keep the focus nicely on the dance floor as warm tones and spacey sweeps push the piece to an exhilarating conclusion. Marvellous remix from Yuriy and another brilliant release from Suffused Music that's not to be missed.

Underground Audio presents Toni Varga's 'Yuka' EP. An expert in crafting DJ tools over the past decade, Toni's first release for the imprint cements his ability as a generator of exceptional records. 

Title track 'Yuka' sees a mesh of flanged hi-hats dashed with flecks of acid synth lines. Emery Warman's Remix puts a shuffle on the original to give the bassline some added groove and motion, whilst System2 douse their version with sub pulses and vocal chops to create a ferocious stomper.

Gonzalez also  head of Discos Sentimiento offers 2 dance floor filler tracks, Afecto and Misterio with an edit from the label and this beauty of a remix coming from Nicaraguan artist /Ambiance\ .... with him delivering an epic Kraftwerk-esque electro take on ‘Afecto’ that journeys off into the night on a slick groove.

/AMBIANCE\ (aka COMEGATOS) is one of other musical projects by a mysterious Nicaraguan artist living in Los Angeles. Grew up in Miami, Florida, J. was surrounded by cuban music and booty bass; thats where the love for electro, new wave, freestyle and bass began. Club-focussed heaters are only a part of musical development. Sometimes you need to catch also the strings and melodies of a certain moment. With our dear friend Beatamines the dutch duo created "Yotta" which is a very techy track for the late night in the club. We’re living in an age of Apathy. Desensitised to the extreme, and never ending news of the world, we have no option but to approach life with a cool detachment. Citizen Kain explores this idea through the use of carefully selected percussion and little else. The track employs no melody and shows no emotion, referencing the theme effectively.
 
HearThug takes another approach. With a strong, mechanical beat and glitch FX, melodies flitter in and out of earshot. The descending melody develops in the break leading to final stripping back of the theme.
