Bynomic, Stan Seba - Holy Ground (Gabo Martin's State of Trance Mix) [Future Avenue]

Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Chaum to the label for his debut EP ‘Dyan Moon’. Born in Greece but now based in the UK, Angelos Moutsai aka Chaum has emerged in the world of progressive music since making his debut in 2016. Releases via Beat Boutique, Hoomidaas, One Of A Kind and RYNTH have been vehicles for his unique take on the genre and it’s related derivatives. Now following a contribution to Mango Alley’s ‘Augmented 005’ collection, Chaum makes his Soundteller debut with a three track showcase.

With three originals to choose from it is ‘19.5’ which leads the release off. Smooth and inviting from the outset, it’s submerged groove, jangly motifs and colourful arps act as an intro piece in a way, building anticipation for what’s to come while showcasing Chaum’s explorative production chops. The second selection ‘Ovate’ continues on a similar meditative pulse but takes closer aim at the dance floor. Electric rhythms coupled with a machine gun style groove and firing percussion provide a lively foundation for astral sonics and mind bending effects to work their magic. Void of any overt musical theme, it’s timely transitions and key changing groove provide several dynamic moments along the way, and should work nicely as a midset piece for the more adventurous DJs out there.

The release concludes with the title selection ‘Dyan Moon’ which ventures further into emotive territory. Played out over eight minutes, it’s warm buzzing groove, effervescent percussion and impassioned chord changes work beautifully together. Timely overlays are likely it’s strongest suit however, subtly adding emotional touches and spine-tingling moments as journey evolves, before the main break advances the narrative through tasteful modulation, as the beats drop for a reflective finale. It rounds out a huge Soundteller debut for Chaum, an artist who continues to excite progressive music fans as the year reaches it’s half way mark. Highly recommended.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Soulkeys, Larrosa & Gardoqui to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, this quartet of progressive music producers has achieved measurable success in their respective careers. With a combined discography that includes releases via Beat Boutique, Plattenbank, Proton's Particles and Steyoyoke, the Buenos Aires residents have received play and support from electronic music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having worked together previously for Dear Deer, the quartet unites once again for their Dopamine White debut ‘Resilience'.
Beginning with the title selection you get a feel for just how strong the creative synergy between these four great talents is. Featuring a dark progressive minded narrative, the quartet craft a foundation of warm beats, fluid rhythms and devilish effects. Its robust low end is full of character and shape, positively charged and perfectly playing off a wealth of shapeshifting electronics. Coming to full fruition during the main break, a storyboard of warped, guitar-like hooks provides moments of tension and anticipation, before a wave of percussive flashes sparks a powerful drop and meditative finale.
The companion piece ‘Fog' follows suit with its ominous, subterranean energy. Dark undertones power the undulating groove, while esoteric effects and timely tonal shifts should make for some memorable dance floor moments. Arpeggiated fragments steal the air across the first act, playing off the rolling groove and neatly manicured percussion perfectly. Tense and exciting in equal measure, the main break melts down to a bassy rumble, paving the way for a finale that is both heady and hypnotic. It rounds out two classy productions from Soulkeys, Larrosa & Gardoqui, a quartet of talented artists who make their Dopamine White debut in fine style.

Having released over 200 productions on various labels around the globe, Audiostorm has a 4 track EP for us here at Melodic Beats Recordings.. And boy is it Good….

Defender, being the lead track from the EP, is a percussive driven organically progressive beast of a track.. This needs to be played on a loud system to feel the impact it has..

Fields is also more on the organically progressive style with some driving percussion with rolling bass with a acid loop to die for….

Panorama takes on a more organic sound with that progressive feel, just love it!!!!!

The final track on the ep is Remeber the shine, which is almost a bonus track for those moments a bit of chilled out trip hop/electronica is whats needed. Enjoy the ride…….

Love all of these and they certainly pack a punch in varying styles…
