Lynne is a Japanese artist who explores the outer realms of techno, experimental, and drum 'n'bass. First emerging in 2013 as part of Tokyo's underground scene, Lynne established herself quickly, winning the Samurai Music Mix competition and playing regularly at respected Tokyo institutions. Over time her sound evolved from its DnB roots to include more textural, obscure and experimental layers as she became fascinated with building emotive atmospheres and twisting them to her rhythm. Now an Astral Industries and Unknown Species resident, Lynne resides between Tokyo and London. She is an artist who is most comfortable in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm is a gravitational force pulling dancers in all the right directions.

[Les Chaos Ambiants]

The Pauza association presents Les Chaos Ambiants, a festival dedicated to the encounter between electronic music, the visual arts and the rich heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté.

This event is designed on a small scale to make it as comfortable as possible to listen, meet and move around, with a single stage to promote emerging and established artists, a natural setting conducive to the discovery of musical works and artistic installations, and an eco-responsible approach to limit its environmental impact.

The project has several objectives : to promote the European and international artistic scene, to stimulate and strengthen the cultural and creative network across the département and the region ; to help promote and showcase the natural and cultural heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté ; to support local produce and the local economy.

Our next artist is based in France, Lastvuska is the co-curator of the Outrebleu event and podcast series and a resident of the HORS-SOL collective. He blends organic, deep, and experimental sounds to create immersive sets. This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno, Drum & Bass and Tribe.

Artist biography :
Velvia is a music lover, vinyl collector & film photographer based in Paris. He is focused on deep techno, downtempo, ambient and other hybrid genres. He tries to build deep, melancholic & hypnotic journeys, the objective being to bring emotions. 

“For this mix i wanted to focus on one of my favorite area : Downtempo, creating a slow but intense dance. I hope you will like the trip”

Time Dilation

My starting point usually comes from a search session on Push2. I never know what I’ll find, and I never know where to begin. But I always come across something special—that becomes my starting point. From there, I start adding elements and building further.  

However, I had to let go of that process because we now had to create a track using Live’s Generative Tools. That wasn’t easy. I quickly realized that mastering these tools takes a lot of time and practice. Fortunately, I’m not in a rush, so every week, I try to expand my knowledge little by little.  

The bassline turned out a bit cheesy, but I’m working on improving it. Step by step, I’ll get there! :)

Back in 2023 we were lucky enough to release an exceptional podcast from Timnah - our ears were hooked! We immediately felt the potential and knew that she would be the DJ to provide the perfect festival afternoon soundtrack to our beloved forest.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon at Monument Festival 2024, and Timnah’s set completely surpassed our already high expectations. From the moment she started, it was clear this was going to be something special.

Starting slow and deep, setting the stage like the opening of an epic tale, Timnah’s set unfolded layer by layer, note by note like a cinematic sonic story told deep in the forest by a master storyteller, one that could have only been by Timnah herself.
