Frank Peter Zimmermann‘s Mozart edition will be released on 3 CDs; the second CD will be released in February, 2016 and will include the Sinfonia concertante (with Antoine Tamestit), the Violin Concerto No. 2 D Major K. 211, the Rondo in B-flat Major KV 269 as well as the Haffner Serenade K. 250 in which the violin plays a big role. The third CD is planned for February, 2017 and will contain the Concertone for two violins, the Violin Concerto No. 5 and the Kassation K. 63.

The Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, K. 331 (300i), by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a piano sonata in three movements. It is uncertain where and when Mozart composed the sonata; however, Vienna or Salzburg around 1783 is currently thought to be most likely (Paris and dates as far back as 1778 have also been suggested). The sonata was published by Artaria in 1784, alongside Nos. 10 and 12 (K. 330 and K. 332).

Since the opening movement of this sonata is a theme and variation, Mozart defied the convention of beginning a sonata with an allegro movement in sonata form. The theme consists of two 8 measure sections, each repeated, a structure shared by each variation. The tempo marking is "Andante Grazioso (Walking pace, gracefully)". It is in the key of A major.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart completed his Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551, on 10 August 1788. It was the last symphony that he composed, and also the longest.

The work is nicknamed the Jupiter Symphony. This name stems not from Mozart but rather was likely coined by the impresario Johann Peter Salomon in an early arrangement for piano.

The four movements are arranged in the traditional symphonic form of the Classical era:

Allegro vivace, 4/4
Andante cantabile, 3/4 in F major
Menuetto: Allegretto - Trio, 3/4
Molto allegro, 2/2

The symphony typically has a duration of about 33 minutes.

Finally, a remarkable characteristic of this symphony is the five-voice fugato (representing the five major themes) at the end of the fourth movement. But there are fugal sections throughout the movement either by developing one specific theme or by combining two or more themes together, as seen in the interplay between the woodwinds.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his Symphony No. 40 in G minor, KV. 550, in 1788. It is sometimes referred to as the "Great G minor symphony," to distinguish it from the "Little G minor symphony," No. 25. The two are the only extant minor key symphonies Mozart wrote.

The work is in four movements, in the usual arrangement for a classical-style symphony (fast movement, slow movement, minuet, fast movement):

Molto allegro, 2/2
Andante in E-flat major, 6/8
Menuetto. Allegretto – Trio, 3/4
Finale. Allegro assai, 2/2

The fourth movement opens with a series of rapidly ascending notes outlining the tonic triad illustrating what is commonly referred to as the Mannheim rocket.

II. Andantino

The short phrases in this movement are introduced by the strings, and become lyrically extended. This further develops into variations on the theme. The cadenza in this movement leads to a coda, where the orchestra and soli focus on the lyrical theme.

The orchestra states both themes. The first is immediately present, and the second is introduced by the horn. Both themes fall under the conventional sonata form. The soli then re-work the already present themes.

Mozart's Clarinet concerto in A major, K. 622 was written in 1791, shortly before Mozart's death, for the clarinetist Anton Stadler. It consists of the usual three movements, in a fast–slow–fast form:

Allegro (in A major and in sonata form)
Adagio (in D major and in ternary form)
Rondo: Allegro (in A major and in rondo form)

It was also one of Mozart's final completed works, and his final purely instrumental work (he died less than two months after its October premiere). 

The concerto is notable for its delicate interplay between soloist and orchestra, and for the lack of overly extroverted display on the part of the soloist (no cadenzas are written out in the solo part).

The opening orchestral ritornello is joyful and light, and soon transforms into a flurry of sixteenth notes in descending sequence, played by the violins and flutes while the lower instruments drive the piece forward. After the medial caesura, the strings begin a series of canons before the first closing theme, featuring duelling violin I's and violin II's, enters. 

The soloist exposition of this movement appears on almost every professional orchestral clarinet audition.

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major), K. 525, is a 1787 composition for a chamber ensemble by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. 

The German title means "a little serenade," though it is often rendered more literally but less accurately as "a little night music." The work is written for an ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with optional double bass, but is often performed by string orchestras.

This first movement is in sonata-allegro form. It opens with an ascending Mannheim rocket theme. The second theme is more graceful and in D major, the dominant key of G major. 

The exposition closes in D major and is repeated. The development section begins on D major and touches on D minor and C major before the work returns to G major for the recapitulation. There is a brief coda.

The Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor, K. 491, is a concerto for piano and orchestra. 

Mozart composed the concerto in the winter of 1785–1786, finishing it on 24 March 1786, three weeks after the completion of the Piano Concerto No. 23 (K. 488) in A Major. He premiered the work in early April 1786 at the Burgtheater in Vienna.

The concerto consists of three movements. The first, Allegro, is in sonata form and is the longest opening movement for a concerto that Mozart had hitherto composed. The second movement, Larghetto, is in the relative major of E flat and features a strikingly simple principal theme. The final movement, Allegretto, returns to the home key of C minor and presents a theme followed by eight variations.

The work is one of Mozart's most advanced compositions in the concerto genre. Its early admirers included Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms. Musicologist Arthur Hutchings considered it to be Mozart's greatest piano concerto.
