Butch: A DJ’s DJ, A Producer’s Producer, A Electronic Music Chameleon

Some DJs chase trends. Butch sets them. With two decades in electronic music, he moves effortlessly between house, techno, and everything in between. From closing Circoloco at DC-10 to extended sets at Robert Johnson, his sound is always evolving.

Born in Mainz with Turkish roots, Butch hustled his way into the scene, earning multiple Best Producer awards and working with legends like Ricardo Villalobos, Armand van Helden, Cassius, Maceo Plex, and Keinemusik. His releases on Innervisions, Running Back, Defected, Rekids, Diynamic, and Cuttin’ Headz have shaped the underground.

2025 is set to be massive, with his remix of Duck Sauce’s “Falling In Love” already dominating dancefloors and more releases on the way. Butch doesn’t follow rules—he just makes music that moves people.

Der aus dem Roots Reggae kommende Artist hat viel Erfahrung am Mic und ist seit einem Jahr auch verstärkt als Dubstep und Drum and Bass MC unterwegs. Es treibt ihn aber immer wieder zurück zum Reggae. Mit der Bassliebe Crew und den Brothers in Arms gibt er bei jeder Party alles um die Croud bei Laune zu halten, aber lässt dem Bass genug Platz zum atmen !
Brother Charity spielte im vergangene Jahr mehrere Shows mit Namenhaften Dj´s wie Aires,Ricky Tuff, Serial Killaz Flux Pavillion, Shiverz aka the Butcher, Requake, Goli and Ashburner,Vodex, Bukez Finezt und natürlich der ganzen Bassliebe Crew.

2013 stehen bereits weitere Gigs in Deutschland an.

The artist who's career began in the Roots Reggae scene, has since gathered a lot of experience on the mic. Starting last year he is also heavily involved as a Dubsteb and Drum and Bass MC. Together with the “Bassliebe” Crew and the “Brothers in Arms”, he always devotes his full attention and energy to make sure that the crowd is in the best possible mood but still leaves the bass enough room to breath!
Last year Brother Charity played several shows with well known DJ’s such as Flux Pavillion, Shiverz aka the Butcher, Requake, Goli and Ashburner, Vodex, Bukez Finezt, Aires,Ricky Tuff, Serial Killaz and of course with the whole Bassliebe Crew. For 2013 there are more gigs planed in NRW.

Flug, as his name suggests, allows his audience to take a trip back to their roots, back to their inner self and what it is to really feel techno. In venues such as, Space Ibiza, Arena Club Berlin, Rex Paris, Moog Barcelona, Hyte Amsterdam, and MAYDAY, Dortmund to name a few, the Argentinian´s definition of techno has been clearly demonstrated not only through his DJ sets that are as devastating as they are uplifting with his serious kick drums, use of hi-hats and reverberating basslines, but also through driving his own organically produced techno forward with an EP released on CLR - 'Sincrodestino', and remixes for SOMA - Slam Reverse Proceed Remixes, only to scratch the surface, cutting his industrially chizzled sound with melodical rythms both elegant and almost eloquent in nature.

His music is now recognised and played worldwide having artists such as, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Len Faki, Dave Clark, Ben Sims, Speedy J, DVS1, Pfirter, Oscar Mulero, among many others, as supporters of his work.

Flug´s unrivaled and brutal self-discipline in the studio, his humbleness in approach, his fierce passion for and overall dedication to the cause, as well as having grown up living and breathing electronic music, have given Flug, real name Sebastian, a long and welcoming insight into what it really means to be a DJ and producer in today's techno world, which in his opinion, means keeping it real.

Having a solid carrer in what he truly loves, Flug now plans to start his own record label early next year with his new album 'The Man Behind the Artist', already in the pipeline to be edited and released on one of Berlin's record labels, Enemy at the end of 2015. The album, when finished, will be by far his most personal and reflective piece of work, as it is, in his words, "statement of freedom".
