I tried, but I can not deny the music in me. I try to escape it, to ignore it, to hold it, but it desires to be shared. So here is a small tidbit of it. Stacks of unfinished lyric & melody notes await me. the raw unfiltered years of love &pain etched on paper reminding me of a life well lived & a love well tested. In the end love prevails. MP Grey writes the kind of songs that sit just left of the mainstream : thoughtful, melodic, and quietly powerful. Based in Germany, he’s a songwriter and producer whose story begins in the shadow of a divided Berlin. Classically trained in piano as a kid, he later found his way into rock bands, where he began writing songs of his own. A detour into economics followed, but the music never stopped.

Blending indie pop, alt rock, AC pop, synth-laced textures and hints of folk, his music explores everyday themes with an open heart, often carrying a hopeful mindset, a touch of melancholy, and a sincere belief in human connection. His ongoing collaboration with LA-based vocalist Rudiger brings these songs to life with a voice as distinct as the stories it tells.

In 2020, MP Grey released « Merged Time », a debut album collecting songs written across three decades. Since then, he's continued releasing a steady run of singles, earning recognition from global music blogs, airplay on independent radio, and a steadily growing audience around the world.

Music may not be his full-time job, but it’s a full-time passion. From writing to production to playing keys, every track comes together in his own studio, built with care and a love for the process. Rod Collier, Singer/songwriter, has covered a lot of ground in his career. 
Growing up in a musical family and starting classical guitar at age 7, He changed to electric guitar playing rock "n" roll, blues and in his teens became interested in punk. He then went on to study music production and audio engineering/music performance at Tai Potuni polytechnic and level 4 & 5 contemporary music at NMIT/Nelson. 
Rod's songs are personal and create vivid pictures of his life and travels and in his music one hears elements of kiwi roots, both folk and rock. 
A very intense and passionate performer, Often humorous, He is a gifted  singer/songwriter, story teller and talented guitarist.
