"Over a thousand who attended last night’s 420 live soundtrack, were treated to a band, oxymoronically (or just moronically) that grow tighter and more musically elastic with every performance. The Cleveland suburb of Northfield Park was no exception. Literally hours after Buffalo’s packed marathon show, the band was out the door to Cleveland, sound checking, eating … and rocking another 3+ hour show on their largest stage and production package to date. They did not waste the opportunity, breaking out a long and angry ’Spoonful’ (SG vocal) out of ‘Truckin’ opener … a sultry & subdued ‘Melissa’ (PL vocal), followed by MK’s new ‘Deal’ arrangement (see what I did there?) … bringing the chorus down on the outtro (the opposite of how GD played it in the 90s), then rocking an instrumental end tag. It was a tour best, As was ‘Dew.’ TC has caught up on the ABB stuff (it took him a whole minute, he must be slowing down) and really elevates ‘Elizabeth Reed’ et al.
