Rising Alt R&B singer KeepVibesNear aka KVN drops first solo single in 2023, ‘Another Casualty’. Produced by Nikhil Beats and releasing via Melting Pot Music.

Blessed with an unmistakable voice, and a natural talent for creating dark & emotive leftfield R&B, Romford-born, London-based artist KeepVibesNear has cut a singular shape in the capital’s musical underbelly. Playing an integral role in the much-heralded Silhouettes Project, as well as racking up collaborations with FloFilz, Ray Lozano, BERWYN & Coops - his dulcet tones have seen him gain support from the likes of BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Worldwide FM, Trench, Notion and New Wave Mag. 

Returning with a matured, yet characteristically melancholic sound, his new single ‘Another Casualty’ tells a tale of lament and redemption, as a wintery guitar motif is joined by crisp drums and winsome saxophones. Shifting shadows and pitched down vocals add to the eerie atmosphere, whilst KVN’s vocals weave effortlessly throughout the track. 

On the track, KVN explains: “'Another Casualty' is a song about misused time. In relationships we have good times and bad. This song is about how we come back from the bad for someone we deeply care about. That reflection you look for inside to try and be better when it’s necessary. I see this song as a conversation with the feeling that comes from a certain type of solitude we only really feel in and out of love. This feeling really inspired me with the image of being lost at shore, another casualty of the sea and the drama of it all.”
