Before we dive into the latest episode, let's first take a brief look at Lofi Radio and what it offers to its listeners. The show is a music podcast that features a variety of producers, musicians, and artists from around the world. The aim is to showcase the producer in a overview of both new tracks, older tracks and also some work in pgoress - the vibe is chill and laid-back, with a focus on hip-hop, jazz, and a positive vibe in the community.

Playing an integral role in the much-heralded Silhouettes Project, as well as gaining support from the likes of BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Worldwide FM, Trench, Notion and New Wave Mag, Romford-born, London-based artist KeepVibesNear returns with his emotional-rollercoaster single ‘In Your Eyes’ 17th January 2024 via Melting Pot Music. 

Blessed with an unmistakable voice, and a natural talent for creating dark & emotive leftfield R&B, ‘In Your Eyes’ sees KeepVibesNear joined by ascending alt-pop artist Jay Lewn. The duo trade sentimental & longing vocal motifs amongst uplifting instrumentation, low slung beats and a sultry bassline. It is the third single to be released from KVN’s eagerly anticipated new project ‘NOIR.’ (due for release 23rd February 2024) which also features the likes of Benny Banks and Gwadalean.

While delivering modern R&B with an electronic twist and jazzy undertones, the young artist offers a refreshing take on vulnerability, opening up about emotions and toxic masculinity and intending to make space for men to express their emotions. Citing the likes of Tyler The Creator, Andre 3000 and The Internet as key influences, he likes to describe his signature sound as ‘Noir R&B’. On the track KVN explains: 

“Sometimes your image of someone or expectations don’t match up with reality and I think that’s something everyone comes across at some point in life. Perception is an interesting thing and I guess this song is a conversation about trying to be that for someone as well as the fear of not being able to.”

I am a healthcare executive completing a dual degree, Master of Public Health / Doctor of Health Sciences, focused on raising awareness about behavioral health, specifically among teens and college students. My dissertation research is focused on raising up the voice of college students beginning with communities of color. I am committed to helping people connect to their purpose in collaboration with mission-aligned leaders. Together we will achieve great things!

Our project is a first step in raising awareness about a national health epidemic. All proceeds are reinvested directly into proactive strategies for improving behavioral health among youth, teens, and young adults in collaboration with community partners.

Our youth, teens, and young adults are reporting the highest levels of loneliness on record according to the U.S. Surgeon General. Our work is going to help change that through simple actions that bring people together for the common good, focused on lifting people up, and creating stronger in person connections.
