‘Amsterdam Nights’ is the debut single by Ray Lozano, releasing on January 19th. Ray Lozano is a German-Filipino singer, songwriter and producer born and raised in Cologne. In her work she likes to dabble in playing piano and bass. ‘Amsterdam Nights’ is the first taster from her forthcoming album ‘Pairing Mode’, which is composed of 12 musical short stories Ray has been working on for quite a time. Largely written in 2020 and 2021 it expresses the newfound pace of life during the pandemic.

In each song (or chapter) Ray moves through a perspective on solitude. From longing for love to feeling contempt with yourself, disoriented, and then empowered again. Ray’s honest lyrics paired with her vulnerable, yet sophisticated and bold voice guide us through an emotional dreamy space found somewhere between heartbreak and hope. “’Pairing Mode’ is like a collection of polaroid pictures. Or like a menu, composed of several delicate dishes” she explains, emphasizing that it is to be enjoyed with all our senses. Every track is “a moment that has been captured and is complete as it is.”

Ray and her co-producer Samon Kawamura (Max Herre, Joy Denalane, Megaloh) create a landmark in German-Asian culture. Their sound is following in the footsteps of the art and soul of Solange's ‘When I Get Home’ plus some quirkiness à la Tierra Whack - but always undoubtedly Ray Lozano. Her music offers a sense of home - direct, soothing, and playful. ‘Pairing Mode’ is accompanied by a strikingly gorgeous poetic film, produced by visual artist Parissa Charghi.

Named in direct reference to arguably one of the greatest albums ever created, "Giant Steps" by John Coltrane, "Giant Stops" pays homage to the rich legacy of jazz while pushing the boundaries of the genre with a contemporary twist. The album seamlessly blends jazz, hip-hop, and electronic elements to create a unique sonic landscape that is both nostalgic and modern.

For Minus & MRDolly, "Giant Stops" represents a new chapter in his evolution as a musician, showcasing his growth and commitment to pushing boundaries in his genre-bending style. Taking inspiration from the creative process of Makaya McCraven, the album features dynamic instrumentals backed by a live band, with Minus & MRDolly's signature lyricism and storytelling shining through both the instrumentals and the lended work of guest musician such as Meta_ or Luca Argel. ‘Insomnia’ is the third solo album by Italian jazz beat maestro Koralle for Melting Pot Music. Without exaggeration, it can be described as the most mature and advanced piece of work by the beatmaker and producer from Bologna. On ‘Insomnia’, Koralle invites some of his favourite artists and musical peers to collaborate and exchange sounds and ideas, beats, melodies, and lyrics. The guest list includes fellow producers & musicians FloFilz, Pachakuti, Figub Brazlevic, Kuranes, Phoniks and Brous One as well as rappers and singers Kid Abstrakt, KeepVibeNear, Ryshon Jones.

Koralle produced most of the songs during long nights while struggling with insomnia. Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that can make it hard to fall asleep, hard to stay asleep, or cause you to wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep. Insomnia can sap not only your energy level and mood but also your health, work performance and quality of life. Luckily the quality of sleep has improved for Koralle since then. 

Insomnia will be available on LP and digital. The album and singles artworks have been created by Italian painter Giulia Dall'ara.

Recently selected as a new personal favorite of Sir Elton John himself for his 'Rocket Hour' radio show on Apple Music 1, "You're So Fuckin' Perfect" is RWJ's jangling Funk rumination on the ever-foreboding A.I. tech and all that comes with it – now given an appropriately Electronic tilt by Harve, with glitches and robo-stutters abound, all underlined with a seismic bassline worthy of only the most proper soundsystems.
