“Bernie Says” is the debut album from South London producer Jake Milliner. 

Raised in a musical household and embroiled in golden era richness from a young age, Jake’s spaced out, soul drenched sound has been building him a reputation as “one to watch” amongst core groups of boom bap fans over the past few years (including T-3 from the legendary Slum Village). He’s also received support from the likes of Boiler Room, Clash Magazine and Afropunk. 

Jake has produced tracks for artists like Barney Artist, Hawk House, Bubblerap, Lord Apex, Zilo, Musiq Soulchild and T-3. With “Bernie Says” Jake himself steps into the spotlight for the first time. On 13 tracks Jake Milliner makes the transition from beatmaker/producer to fully fledged artist. His boom-bap roots are still intact on “Bernie Says” but the sound spectrum relies also on jazz and boogie with lots of heavy keys – courtesy of Jake himself and Alfa Mist who is guesting on the first single “Reminisce” alongside trumpeter Marcus Tenney. Some other key players from the London jazz scene are making cameos too on the album but have to stay uncredited for contractual reasons. On the vocal-side Jake is joined by former Hawkhouse singer/rapper Bubblerap and long-time friend 25. The artwork is based on works by London artist Stuart Ruel. 

The album enjoys radio-support from some key players on BBC 6 including Marry Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravencroft and Don Letts and has gained various plays on Worldwide FM and NTS.

Jake has laced beats for Barney Artist, Hawk House, Kofi Stone, Musiq Soulchild and T3 (Slum Village). Jake has played Boiler Room and is a regular on NTS radio.

Watch out for his full-length "Bernie Says" in late autumn with features by Joe Armon-Jones, Howard McNair, Bubblerap (from Hawk House), Eun and 25.

Koralle is the new moniker of Lorenzo Nada, a musician, beatmaker and producer from Bologna, Italy. Nada is best known for his project Godblesscomputers, which kicked off a couple of years ago while he was living in Berlin. After releasing four albums / EPs and touring Europe with a four piece band Nada is heading into a new direction as Koralle.

Firmly rooted in hip-hop Koralle is taking his jazz crates and field recordings to the studio. Equipped with an array of synths, rhodes and bass he creates deeply textures tracks that touch mind, body and soul.

Early 2019 Koralle signed with Melting Pot Music where he released his first first project “Collecting Vol.1”.  “Collecting Vol.2” is a seamless continuation of Vol.1, only better!

„Collecting is an eyes closed journey throughout memories, a collection of some everyday little stories, still paying a tribute to my hip hop musical background. Every beat is like an object found at the bottom of the sea, every sample emerges from my record collection, turning into something new, like corals of the Ocean.“ as Koralle writes in the linernotes.

Kumail is a musician, producer, performing artist Mumbai, India. Over the last four years, he has ascended to the very top of India’s burgeoning culture of electronic music on two parallel paths - as a gifted musician and bandleader drawing expansive canvases of rhythm, texture and emotion, and as a roughneck DJ notorious for breaking ankles. Having started off plunging deep into lo-fi ambient electronica, Those paths have led him to a DJ set at Dimensions Festival 2018 in Croatia, a string of several live festival dates across India, and extensive touring across the country. In the past, he has shared the stage with the likes of Shigeto, Four Tet, DJ Koze, Teebs, Ratatat, Mount Kimbie and Kutmah, and been featured on Boiler Room, Sofar Sounds and COLORS.

‘Same Shit’, featuring critically acclaimed Los Angeles singer and rapper Pink Siifu, marks a major shift in Kumail’s trajectory as an artist. The lead single off his forthcoming album ‘Yasmin’, (on Brooklyn’s Bastard Jazz Recordings) marks a significant departure from the lo-fi meditative electronica of his early online mixtapes towards R&B and soul-drenched palettes that could only come from the West Coast - in this case from both the United States and India. The cross-continent collaboration cements Kumail’s bid for a place in the vanguard of modern neo-soul and hip-hop from around the world. A sign of more of hook-driven slow-jams to come from ‘Yasmin’, projected to release winter 2019.

Part 4 of the Cap Kendricks “Keepsakes Rework” series is ready to go!

Cap's ''Keepsakes'' album had its first anniversary in April 2019. To celebrate the event we asked a couple of artists to ''remix'' their favourite tunes from the album. Singers, rappers and beatmakers alike.

After Douniah, Kid Abstrakt and Sisi Jalé blessed us with reinterpretations of their favorite Cap Kendricks instrumentals, the Finnish beatmaker and producer Misha joins the circle and turns Cap’s “Starships” into “Star City”. Misha lives in Helsinki and has roots in Ukraine. He has released a couple of projects via Chillhop and is currently working on his debut EP for Melting Pot Music. This summer Misha released an updated version of the rare Finnish boogie tune “Funny Funk” together with the original artist Jussi Halme and fellow beatmaker Monma.
