Sudanese MC / Singer Zen-Zin and German producer Pawcut are not your average rap group.  Zen-Zin lives and works in Khartum, the capital of Sudan, while Pawcut is producing his beats in a German town called Minden. Nevertheless the mix of Zen-Zin melodious flow and Pawcut's skifully layed beats make a perfect fit. “Hold On Ontario” is the third single from their forthcoming album “Next Flight Ontario”, which is the follow up to their debut album “Butterfly Effect” on Jakarta Records.

Last month LESKY teamed up with beat producer Mensing and New Jersey-based songstress Tally Schwenk for “Relief”. These days the international beat jet set mingles mostly on Zoom. No more boiler rooms, pool parties or rooftop BBQ‘s. Luckily this doesn’t affect the creative process of LESKY. “Palma” is the third single from his forthcoming album “Meraki”. LESKY, who recently relocated to Tbilisi in Georgia, is joined by Cologne (beat) boy wonder Midan.

Then starts making music based on all the genres that he loved before the catastrophic event.  That's how we think of No Hope For Tomorrow. Although if you corelate it to our reality you can think of it as a light of hope that shines and guide us through the to the times everyone has been going through the past year.

We wanted to end this year off in grace with a fantastic body of work.

“Out Burn” is the third and last instrumental taken from Syrup's recently released album “Rosy Lee”.

Technically, Syrup are a hip-hop group with unmistakable leanings towards soul and jazz. The group consists of an MC (Turt), a pianist/singer (C.Tappin) and a beatmaker (Twit One). Their music is rooted in the tradition of collectives like Native Tongues and Soulquarians, and they have come up with a pretty appropriate term to describe their sound, which is “cool bap”.

But if we put formalities aside and look at the bigger picture, Syrup are also a perfect example of how music can connect people beyond national borders, language and tradition. And furthermore, how Afro-American culture has influenced not only the musical taste but the views and opinion-making of generations of young people worldwide. The sheer existence of Syrup is also a big fat “Fuck Brexit!” which makes the group even more likeable.

“Rosy Lee” is available on LP as standard edition and limited colored vinyl edition (300 copies).
