- The reason the early Salaf used titles such as as-Sunnah, al-Īmān, ash-Sharī’ah, at-Tawhīd and al-‘Aqīdah for their works.

- The reason the Salaf put so much emphasis on ‘Aqīdah.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– The narration of Abu Dhar رضي الله عنه: The Messenger of Allah ‎ﷺ commanded me with seven pieces of advice:
1. To love and be near the poor people.
– Traits of people of imān is that they have love for the poor people.
– The virtues of the poor people.
2. Look to those that are less fortunate and not towards those who have more than you.
3. To keep family ties even if they cut you off.
– Practice humility and do not react to evil with its like.
– Benefits of keeping ties of kinship.
4. Do not beg of the people.
– Dua of Imam Ahmad: O Allah, how you have protected me that my face only prostrates to you alone, protect me from not asking from others.
5. Speak the truth even if it may be bitter.
6. Do not fear the blame of the blamers by being on the Straight Path.
7. Increase in the statement "lā howla walā quwwata illah billāh".

- Benefits from the statement of Allāh, إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ “Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us.” [Sūrah al-Anbiyā 21:90]
- Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on how Allāh described the Prophets and Messengers in this āyah. 
- Reflecting upon the meaning of the terms al-Musāra’ah, al-Musābaqah, al-Munāfasah and al-Mubādarah, and examples of their usage in the Qur’ān and Sunnah.
- The virtue of al-Musāra’ah and al-Mubādarah over al-Musābaqah and al-Munāfasah.
- Following the example of the greatest of the Messengers in having ‘Ulūw al-Himmah (lofty, noble goals/objectives) and firm determination. 
- Indications of ‘Uluw al-Himmah in the Sunnah. 
- ‘Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb (رضى الله عنه) on not belittling one’s himmah (things a person is concerned about/aspire for). 
- The Messenger’s ﷺ command to hasten towards the performance of good deeds before the appearance of trials and tribulations.
- Understanding that trials and tribulations can come at any time and the opportunity to do good deeds can be removed very quickly.
- How a person can become a disbeliever and lose his īmān in a single day. 
- The point at which a person will not benefit from his īmān or acquire any further goodness. 
- An example of how the Prophet ﷺ hastened to good deeds. 
- The generosity of the Prophet ﷺ in Ramaḍān. 
- The example of Ibrāhīm and Ismā’īl (عليهما السلام) in hastening to the command of Allāh and submission to Him. 
- Mūsā’s (عليه السلام) hastening away from his people in order to be in isolation with his Lord. 
- Statements from Ibn ‘Abbās, ‘Alī b. Abī Ṭālib, ‘Uthmān b. ‘Affān (رضى الله عنهم), Abūl-‘Āliyah, ad-Dahhāk and others (رحمهم الله) regarding the meaning of وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ “Race towards forgiveness from your Lord…” [Sūrah Āl ‘Imrān 3:133]
- The shining example of the lofty aspiration and firm determination of ‘Umayr b. al-Ḥammām al-Anṣārī (رضى الله عنه). 
- The fruits of having a lofty aspiration.
