In Buddhism, the Sanskrit term samskara is used to describe "mental formations," "will," and many other concepts; in Pāli it is referred to as saṅkhāra.

According to various schools of Indian philosophy, every action, intent or preparation by an individual leaves a samskara (impression, impact, imprint) in the deeper structure of the person's mind. These impressions then await volitional fruition in that individual's future, in the form of hidden expectations, circumstances or a subconscious sense of self-worth. "This song is about letting go, but not losing the connection that once was. It's a gentle goodbye, a soft retreat from the world of the living, where I'm trying to comfort those I'll leave behind. The lyrics are a poignant exploration of mortality, love, and memory, with me reassuring my loved ones that even in death, I'll still be present, watching over them. The song's message is one of hope and reassurance, a reminder that even when I'm gone, my love and presence can still be felt. I'm writing this for those I love, and I'm asking that it be played at my funeral someday, as a final message of love and comfort to those who will remain.

*Side note: This song and 'When I'm Gone' were born one night while watching a movie, and during a funeral scene the song brought me to tears.  I thought how cool it would be to leave some final messages to my loved ones with my own songs. Especially since none of them listen to my songs now. Why not force them to after I'm gone?
