Selective Sounds aims to provide a platform for Perth Drum and Bass DJ's and producers to expose themselves to a wider audience... Selective Sounds also promotes and hosts international Drum and Bass acts in Perth.

Hailing from Hobart in the Apple Isle but now calling Perth home, with a strong passion for broken beats and bass, but possessing the diversity and passion for a wide variety of music in his arsenal.

Previous resident of Hobart nightclubs Halo, PlanB, Syrup, Curlys & Barcelona, before relocating to Perth WA and stepping into the home of the underground for Japan 4 and Fresh Produce. 

Drawing inspiration and influence from Perth's rich drum & bass scene, a wide spectrum of the genre is often explored throughout his sets, strung together in a progressively flowing and measured delivery.

Music is my therapy ...It all started with being mesmerized listening to the hypnotic beat of Kraftwerk’s “Trans Euro Express” on a tiny cassette player at a very young age and it continues to this day at an age when I have to worry about “more important” things in life.

This page is an attempt in getting back to mixing some favorite tunes and documenting my ever changing moods and tastes. Any and all comments are welcome and much appreciated.

A journey through deep, hypnotic and percussive beats. Inspired by the progressive sounds of John 00 Fleming, Rick Pier O’Niell and many more. 

My journey in music began at an an early age, from classical training in AMEB piano from the age of 7, and later percussion and drums from age 12. Over the next 10 years I played in live jazz, rock and metal bands at over 100 live gigs.

After taking a hiatus from playing music to advance my studies in dentistry, I have now returned to my roots. Feel free to follow for a deep emotive journey through sound.
