My name is Gamba De Bass and I was born in Bologna, Italy. I discovered my passion for music early and eventually came close to Hip Hop. Spending countless hours producing, I developed my own style, influenced by New York Hip Hop and a lots of other stuff. Hope you enjoy my music!

 Featured in the Deli Magazine, BBC Radio, RCRD LBL, URB, BRM, HASH Magazine, HipHopDX, SOHH, DJBooth, AllHipHop, HipHopGame, Nahright, OkayPlayer, 2DopeBoyz and other notable sites and e-zines, Bronx, New York hip-hop artist Joel (aka MaG) is  following the successful release of his 2009 solo LP "I Ain't Goin' Back to Retail!", with "Freedom", hosted by Mick Boogie and RCRDLBL.com. MaG has shared the stage with the likes of Questlove, Zach Berkman, NYLE vs the Naysayers, Arthur Lewis, Rapper Big Pooh, Skyzoo, Tanya Morgan, 6th Sense, and Torae, among others. MaG was chosen by Converse to record at their newly built Rubber Tracks studio; nominated one of URB.com's "Next 1000"; chosen as a featured artist of the week on Reverbnation.com and as a "NYC MC on the rise"  and also an "Honorable Mention" in the Year End Emerging Artist Poll by the Deli Magazine; a winner in the DJ Green Lantern and Sonicbids.com "Alive on Arrival" contest; featured on Talib Kweli's "BlackSmith Community" Mixtape; selected as one of SOHH.com's Top 20 "Grittiest" emcees, and was a winner in the SESAC, The Muse Box, Brooklyn Industries and Reverbnation sponsored "NYC Rising" competition. MaG has performed at CMJ, Webster Hall, Brooklyn Bowl, Piano's, S.O.B.'s, Southpaw, Public Assembly and other popular venues in New York City, spreading his message of Hip-Hop/Soul music to the masses.
