This track starts off slow and gentle but then kicks up its heels and gets going!

Using my purple Pearl Tongue Drum in the scale of C Akebono, I spent time improvising and experimenting with layering. Then, using the Guitar-to-Bass (G2B) effect on my looping pedal, I recorded the Talking Drum and boosted its bass frequencies with the G2B effect, creating a galloping and driving bassline to propel the song forward.
Then I recorded a long live performance with the Talking Drum, to which I eventually add a low-pass filter for more layer separation.
As you will hear, most of this song consists of live performance of one of the 2 instruments.
There are passages of music wherein you will hear me "noodling" uncomfortably (experimenting with sounds and tempos while looking for complementary frequencies or patterns), and there are other passages of pure creative bliss and enjoyment.

It's messy in parts but aside from the Reverb, Chorus and Low Pass Filter effects that were added on in the live performance, everything is 100% made on real instruments by a real human and that still means something...
