Following on from their debut joint effort as Modern Doom, @tesstberlin and MSDMNR are back at it this summer with ‘Final Conspiracy’, a new six-track split that finds the pair delving further deep inside hypnosis-inducing sonic phrases and 909-infused rhythmic mantras. If you’re not familiar with TESST’s equally dynamic and texturally lavish musical multiverse, ‘Final Conspiracy’ makes for an ideal introduction. 

Calling the shots on the A side, TESST dishes out a trio of natural-born consciousness-shifters, primed for extended use in both fluid build-up climes and head-on peak time climaxes, square-shouldered enough to bring dancers to a trancey simmer bar after bar. ‘Exit Where’ gets the ball rolling on a weightless, levitational note, laying maximal emphasis on subtle groove modulations and minimal, though impactful melodic tweaks. An acid-soaked earworm that shall scramble the crowds’ navigational systems without further ado, ’Never-ending Hole’ moves fast and haunts long after the needle’s hit back stationary mode. Rounding off that side of the record, hi-pressure roller 'Final Test’ ushers us into a blazing furnace of bleeping hysteria and hi-NRG pound that’ll leave your cheeks red and bones bruised. 

Flip it over and here's MSDMNR ramming his way in badman style with the all-obliterating ‘Warped Arp’. Pulling out all the stops, it’s an evil hail of rattling echo'd drums and train-like chug that preps to pour over and take the dancefloor by storm. A further straightforward piece of athletic dub tech, ‘Disturbance’ is the epitome of a passive-aggressive powerhouse igniter, fully geared towards blowing the winds of rebellion and notching up the heat no matter the hour of the day. Draped in dark droney folds and stealth envelopes, EP closer ‘Conspiracy’ makes for the very strain of dubbed-out deadly rodeo that works its poisonous hex slow but steady. Even stronger together, TESST and MSDMNR capture a snapshot of their craft at its most boldly burning and earnestly charismatic throughout.

Having cut his teeth through a variety of the electronic gameʼs spectrum under a number of aliases in the past, Miro Pajic went on to write new material in the guise of MSDMNR in more recent years, releasing a handful of satisfyingly sturdy, dynamic releases via his eponymous imprint, eventually taking his inimitable raw signature sound to 30D Records, followed by productions on HAYES, MindTrip, Jonas Kopp's TREMSIX, Kaiser's KSR, Oliver Rosemann's Recorded Things and Illegal Alien Records.

In over two active decades in electronic dance music, he has had the pleasure to DJ in countries such as Colombia, Argentina, UK, The Netherlands, Italy, USA, Japan and, of course his home country Germany, where he has also been behind the decks of Berlin's Tresor and Berghain...
