The Open Bell ep 16 - Creating a Culture

In the Frame is a short film about a little girl meeting her grandparents for the first time in years. She decided to record her perspective of Thanksgiving dinner - this time with two additional family members - in which feels very familiar but also very new.

This video is a part of Frameworks. This series shows the compositional process in real time through the use of short films. Some of these videos are of me improvising these film scores without a film and others will have short films with my music.

Marcus S. Grant started his musical life as a singer at age 4 and has since grown to love and adore music and musicians of every type. Marcus is a teacher, trumpet player, and composer specializing in Wind Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, and Marching Arts music. To his credit, Marcus' compositions and arrangements have been performed on numerous football fields, concert halls, conferences, and seminars around the world. Marcus is the official Composer and Arranger in Residence with The Brass Roots, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Above everything else, Marcus devotes his life to the promotion and enrichment of quality music education for young people.
