I built this track around a Jupiter-8 synth line that runs throughout, setting a dark, haunting tone. Even before adding any other instruments, I knew the track would be called “You Can’t Hide” because the melody carried such a somber, almost unsettling presence. 

As I layered in the rest of the instruments, I still felt something was missing and this is when I came up with a vocal sample in the second half of the track. I’ve always been drawn to working with vocal samples and often incorporate them into my productions. Having written songs and sung in the past, I am fascinated by the many ways the voice can be transformed and reused in music. In this track it definitely adds some extra dynamics, making “You Can’t Hide” a perfect electro track for dark dance floors.

Mascarpone - Cosmic Entropy [MTROND016]

@rm-14 is a DJ and one of the few representatives of the underground music scene in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.
His musical preferences lie in the range of Electro, Breakbeat and Techno.
Over the course of his career, RM has organized numerous underground events in his city. Until recently, he hosted his own radioshow DOPESICK on London's AAJAradio, which he has now suspended.
