A sheen, shaped, silver smooth
ringing go hues bounced against
the sizzle of shaking
as the steady siren sings
a tune to sway all sands
into dunes and dynamics delivered.

The wheel and roll of night air moon
dew'd backward, the underside is as dry as a chime,
while the uppermost is a rained as the tallest cave
that stretches the feel of inside
as if the costae verae were elastics,
and the sternum were a bell.

One that might only sound out
the metal in the veins,
like metal under water,
flowing, fell fathoms far
along an elliptical path,
drilling out the cache of concepts,
corroded and clean,
shing as beams build out bones
of sound from the dark kick
scratching out strange signs
we cannot deny.

And we know.
We who have heard.
And felt the raying cosm
building on scintilance
a vast canopy that drops
upon our heads a breaking force
to set us a'dream,
that no tone of suspended contact
between you and those ahead of you in line,
one place, one minute away
from a beta phase,
a sudden turn,
a slow new,
a change,
a chance,
to come careening slowly
into air that smells of lavender,
in a land of yellow grass
and black stones.

Rod Modell returns as Deepchord for his first solo release on Astral Industries since inaugurating the label with his sought-after ‘Lanterns’ EP. Consisting of two stunning long-form pieces split on one side each, 'Immersions’ captures the emotive, halcyon sound that Rod has long become synonymous with. Opening with glistening ambient textures, ‘Immersion I’ grows into an 18-minute piece of deep rolling dub techno. On the other side ‘Immersion II’ paints pristine soundscapes of soft, lapping waves, underpinned by submerged pulsations that rise to the surface to continue its deep space explorations. Two highly refined and inspiring tracks that sit on the apogee of this sound.

Sarav is a collection of 3 ambient-dub/techno tracks which are filled primarily with atmospheric pads and soundscapes that transport the listener to a different peaceable place The tracks recount a personal trip and are inspired by the beautiful landscapes that blew me away after a trip in South-Asia, and also by my homeland with its silent and limitless fields , so the album was born from the inspiration taken during my journeys, in my countryside and in my intimate relation with nature.

Silent Season have carried the music of Submersion and Mon0 independently before, but now the dub techno producers have teamed up to take their sound onto new plains of exploration. The sound palette is consistent with both their music and that of the label, but the familiar dancefloor tropes have been jettisoned in favour of a more meditative end result, leading in with the achingly beautiful tundra excursion of "Beginning Of The End". From there the album drifts with glacial motion through a range of finely crafted soundscapes, wielding a world of rumbling, harmonious noise in the middle distance without ever losing that seductive dub techno ambience.

With this new EP we want to involve the listener in a journey into the mysteries of ancient Egypt. The civilization of ancient Egypt was developed along the Nile Valley from the floodgates, to the south and to the border with the present Sudan, to the mouth, to the delta, to the Mediterranean Sea, for a total area of ​​about 1000 km. Although the territory was much larger, including much of the Libyan-Nubian Desert, human settlements, since the earliest times, developed only in the narrow green belt close to the banks of the wide river, in some places even only a few hundred meters. These lands are rich in charm and mystery and with our music we want to retrace them mentally, without real borders.

Sharlese got her start as a club DJ as a resident of Seattle's goth industrial wave crew, Second Sight in 2012.  Hosting shows at the iconic Electronic Tea Garden, she inspiration from her time there. Connecting with the wider electronic community she begin DJing techno and from there dabbled in other genres as well. Years later Sharlese is the co-founder of industrial wave crew False Prophet, and is a resident at Pony with her night Audiodrome. She is also currently is a member of Depth, TUF and Studio 4/4 and works at KEXP 90.3 FM as the Education & Community Engagement Manager and as a rotating host of the electronic show Expansions.
