"Why Are We Here" is an instrumental track, crafted over 12 years and serving as the first part of a six-part series. This piece tells the story of the birth of the universe and the formation of our planet Earth, leading up to the evolution of complex life forms.

Inspired by the "War of the Worlds" album and Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells," the composition blends piano, full orchestra, choir, synths, drums, and bass guitar. The piano lays a reflective foundation, while the orchestra adds depth and drama. Choirs bring a celestial touch, and synths add a modern, cosmic feel. Drums and bass guitar drive the narrative, symbolizing the passage of time and the evolution of life.

"Why Are We Here" invites listeners on a contemplative journey through the universe's beginnings and the emergence of life on Earth. This piece sets the stage for an hour-long musical exploration of existence and creation, promising a thought-provoking and immersive experience.

I am glad to welcome you to my SoundCloud page. I've been doing music since I was 15, I've been a guitarist in several Rock bands. After the birth of my son, I stopped music lessons for 8 years, but by coincidence, I returned to music in a new role (not only a guitarist) and now I write everything I want myself without dwelling on a certain genre, I will be glad if you like my music too. Welcome. )

As a retired DOD Civil Service worker, I have time to record some. I have been recording at home sice around 1990 and some of my tracks are very old.  I‘ve had 50+ years in bands playing music of many types. I still play the club scene 3 to 4 times a month. Life is good!

Chris Drabble, based in the Northwest of England, is a rock guitarist who has over 50 years of playing experience.
With nearly 50K streams on SoundCloud in the last 12 months being a mixture of Guitar Rock and softer Ambient instrumental tracks, Chris is now ramping up his rock guitar work with his latest album ‘Foot to the Floor’, which harks back to his youth when rock guitar tracks had a catchy opening riff, and was the sort exciting music you felt you had to tap your foot to. 
His influences include Rush, Led Zeppelin, The Police, Simple Minds, Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani and Jimi Hendrix. He is currently listening to Porcupine Tree, Dream Theatre.

Edoardo Gastaldi, born in 1998, is an award-nominated film-music composer based in Venice, Italy. 
His style combines slow piano lines with deep ambient atmospheres. In his creations, the frontier of repetitive post-classical minimalism meets deep compositional ambient layers, leading his arrangements to become a philosophical thread of condensed melancholy and sparse hope.
After several years of music studies, which provided him with formal training ranging from classical piano to music theory, in the summer of 2021, Edoardo started publishing his compositions and productions.
The influence of 17th-19th century pianists and the fascination for experimental edges make his music an ever-evolving equilibrium among Modern Classical, Ambient, and Post-Rock subgenres.

Gastaldi's philosophical approach is inspired by the sounds of foundational artists including Johan Söderqvist, Hammock, Tony Anderson, Leonard Petersen, Atli Örvarsson, Stephen Porter, Ronit Kirchman, Sigur Rós, John Cage and Nils Frahm.

Edoardo’s work deeply reflects his desire to explore human fragility, paradoxes, and the complexities of existence. Over time, his soundtracks were described as capable of delving into the big consequences and underlying roots we can’t avoid.

In 2024 Gastaldi scored the soundtrack for the multi-award-winning short film “Etilismo”, a story that delves into the sensitive issue of chronic alcoholism in youth.
