Abi is a singer-songwriter described as a “tropical breeze in the music world with heartfelt lyrics and refreshing tones, utterly enjoyable to listen to”. Known for captivating audiences with her goosebump-inducing vocals and heartfelt lyrics she delivers infectious pop gems with her unique and versatile voice. Abi’s songwriting blends lyrically rich prose with a fresh modern sound, that resonates deeply with her listeners. Reminiscent of Ariana Grande’s powerful vocals paired with Sabrina Carpenter's polished production. Abi has shown remarkable growth in both songwriting and performance from the dreamy tones of her debut single heebiejeebies to the powerful, award-winning rock track Stockholm, and the emotional rollercoaster of her debut EP To You.
Her breakthrough moments include being invited to open for Dami Im at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre, open for Drax Project at the Tanks Arts Centre and perform her poignant ballad I Forgot About Me at Nashville's Exit/Inn. Abi’s band also won the Cairns Passport to Airlie Finals to perform at the Airlie Beach Festival of Music. In 2024, Abi embraced a more unapologetic pop style, working with Tokyo-based producer Ghostpops and released a string of singles that fueled her busiest year yet. She headlined the Queensland Music Festival Tropics Muster, performed at the Tablelands Folk Festival, the Gladstone Music Festival and the Agnes Waters Blues Roots & Rock Festival, as well as her regular, acoustic gigs in her hometown.
At just 21yrs Abi’s achievements include winning the John Lennon Award and the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, winning the homemade video category and receiving Highly Commended in the Vocal Performance category of the International Unsigned Only competition, along with being a finalist for the Queensland Music Awards for two consecutive years, and being recognised locally as the Cairns Regional Council Junior Cultural Award recipient. She is a true artist with a heart showing support for Cancer Council Queensland with four consecutive performances at the Barlow Park Relay for Life.
With new music on the horizon for 2025, Abi continues to shine a bright light on FNQ’s pop scene, earning recognition as one of Australia's most exciting new talents in contemporary music.
