@riotvan-family is thrilled to announce the latest installment of the "Familiar Faces” series, with label bosses Panthera Krause and Peter Invasion once again opening their arms and welcoming an exceptional group of friends. Some familiar faces return, while others make a glorious Riotvan debut. 

Originally conceived as a four-track release, in line with previous installments, the project took on a life of its own as the incredible music continued to flow in. Today, we are delighted to present "Familiar Faces IV," an eight-track selection that showcases the freshest and most diverse sounds from a group of our incredibly talented friends. 

Riotvan regulars Shubostar, New Hook, and Sexy Lazer, invite listeners on their journey exploring deep, punky, and cinematic soundscapes, while our Belgian buddy, DC Salas, takes a deep dive into the acidic depths. 

From across the pond, we welcome a cosmic queen in, Tony Y Not, and one of our favourite Mexican amigos, @muftimx. Both new members of our clan. 

Our greatest gathering to date wouldn't be complete without the familiar faces of Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht, who treat us to an exciting sci-fi soundtrack, before the Italian connection of Amacord & Speaking Minds add a blissful beauty to close the collection. 

Familiar Faces IV is a musical family reunion like no other, where friends from all corners of the world come together to create a harmonious symphony of sound.

Wonder Stories leads us into the summer heat with the irresistible new Cloud Nine EP from Joe Morris. The house veteran from Leeds delivers a dreamy downtempo gem in “Cloud Nine” with Balearic House titans Max Essa and Coyote adding stunning remixes before Wonder Stories boss Aimes rounds it out on the B2. Prime for any set from sunset to sunrise, “Cloud Nine” floats along with dripping chords surrounded by buzzing arpeggios and melodic pads. The 303 bassline trots along, extending itself in all the right places as the space grows and grows around it. African percussion slides in as the beat drives forward with additional drum elements added throughout. As it breaks down the track finds itself somewhat in between Todd Terje and Mood II Swing while occupying its own realm in space with the soaring synth lines and thick reverb.

Wonder Stories boss Aimes reworks “Cloud Nine” with a remix that sits well in line with the sound the Brooklyn label has built through over 25 releases since 2011. While “Cloud Nine” finds itself within the bounds of the left-field house, disco and techno prevalent on Wonder Stories so far, Aimes’ remix finds itself exploring new territory in the summertime sunshine. Maintaining the same ethereal textures of the original, Aimes instead chooses to thrust the bassline ahead, introducing chords later as the 303 does the floating instead. The percussion elements find themselves cloaked in a dreamy reverb, while extended synth lines produce an uplifting atmosphere from some unknown future city. While there is still a sense of fogginess, the melodies and chords wrap the listener in a poolside summer warmth. You can already pre-order your copy, out on june, 25th.

The DJs have all been really good tonight but you just want to go home, the guy in front, who you were best friends with when you were coming in now has the unfavourable task of remembering that you swapped tickets earlier and you lean in and tell him. "Do Not Wear My Coat".
Do Not Wear My Coat is the new track on Wonder Stories by the fantastic Zurich resident, John Parsley who has turned in a cracker of an EP featuring an Iñigo Vontier remix and some beastly original tracks. Having recently had a run of fine EPs from Joe Morris and MAN2.0. John Parsley adds to the catalogue of AIMES's imprint with yet another dancefloor killer.

For the 2nd entry in the Fun Fun Mix series, we present Argentinean dj Ilsa Wolf. Known for her eclectic music style, Ilsa is a music researcher who digs into musical rarities. Her aesthetic plays with wicked transitions and unexpected sculptured sounds, focusing into motion and challenging the ears of the dancers while spanning different periods and genres in the history of recorded music.
