This compilation includes additional screen sounds from the unpublished tapes of composer Tomislav Simović also featured in Dušan Vukotić film The Visitors From The Galaxy (Gosti iz galaksije, 1981). With courtesy of Tomislav Simović Estate artists were given complete creative freedom to remix, reinvent and re-imagine the futuristic soundscape of first science-fiction film in Yugoslavia that was scored in analog, abstract, electronic and synthesised music.

This makes Tomislav Simović the first and the only one composer in ex-Yugoslavia region to gain such unique international recognition and tribute of wide spectrum of contemporary musicians from different parts of the world: United States, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Serbia and Croatia.

Warming, the introspective division of Warning, was launched by resident Mars Leder as an “off the (Rave) track” mix series in 2019. Since then the aim has been to provide warm vibes in a cold world to help us unwind in hectic times. We’re now expanding the sub-project and present to you WARM01, the first Ambient music release on Warning. With seven mindfully selected tracks from Areliz Ramos, Yhdessa, Caldera, Premis, Lewi Boome, Vertical67, and Warning resident Philipp Otterbach with his new project KYN, a collaboration with Sebastian Eubel. The compilation aims to reflect the versatility of the genre, from mellow textures and floating voices to fractal patterns and rapturous basslines. Don’t expect any ordinary elevator music or beach cafe vibes - this one will be chill, but it’s still a Warning.

In the last few years, I’m a Cliché’s Edit Service has established itself as constant source of quality edits for DJs and music lovers. The concept is very simple. Every two weeks or so, the label shares with the world an edit made by artists from its roster or producers it likes, ranging from Trevor Jackson to It's a Fine Line, from Young Marco to Marvin & Guy, from Bot'Ox to Crackboy...
 
On April 20th, the label releases a limited run EP with two new entries in the series. This is a vinyl only release, absolutely no digital!

RED AXES – Der Sexa

 An elegant synthetic groove where lush female vocals, a genuine bass guitar line and plucked strings of an oriental persuasion gradually make an appearance. A build-up leading to a fantastic breakdown from the original track kept intact before the edit kicks back in. A distinctive and catchy edit that bears the Israeli duo’s unique signature sound.

The duo from Tel Aviv are long partners of I'm a Cliché. Edit Service #2 or #29 are memorable edits of the series. They also released 5 eps with the label, and their first LP Ballad of the Ice in 2014.

ROUGE MECANIQUE – Cosi Cosi 

Ominous synths, spoken word and an atmosphere that conjures images of dystopian horror. A slow pulse of a beat that gradually picks up and funcky guitar licks: there’s light at the end of tunnel as the edit goes from dark to hedonistic. 10 blissful minutes crafted with class by French producer Roman Azzaro under his Rouge mécanique alias.

This edit is the first collaboration between the Berlin-based French producer and I'm a Cliché.

LFI001 will be released on vinyl as a limited edition on January 27th 2016

Samba Mapangala - Yembele

The noise rattled within the jungle. The green leaves bounced in time with the beat as nature sprung to life in the morning sunshine. The damp rose between the trees turning to steam in the heat of the morning glow as wildlife scattered between the beanstalks. The sky was a dreamy shade of pink but it would soon be blue, much like the waters which surrounded the tropical island. This was paradise and a place called home.

It is with much delight that we are able to premiere an exclusive new track from Superpitcher on Hippie Dance. Keep an eye out for more Hippie Dance affiliated content in the coming weeks. That's a hint.

The eighth piece of The Golden Ravedays puzzle will be released on Hippie Dance in August 2017. Number 8 of the series introduces two tracks that will take you to the far side of somewhere you’ve never been before. They are both reminiscent of outer space blues playing spooky games in a dust bowl.

Side A features Tuesday Paris Texas a tastefully arranged track with vintage sounds passing nonchalantly through a wild western aural landscape. The music is announced like a cowboy movie dual complete with bar doors swinging on rusty nails in slow motion. Mournful guitar strings swirl over a steady horseback galloping beat, expanding into a full-on-fire dance track. Halfway through a woman’s haunted voice appears and disappears like an eerie siren, a gunshot is fired (was that a gunshot?), a man whispers “what!?” Tuesday Paris Texas is in no hurry to give an answer.

What’s it like to be a frog? - a question posed by philosophizers and scienticians alike for nigh on millenia without any definitive progress or resolution to the issue. The sad truth is that Man, in his usual self absorbed way, has only ever attempted to apply his own logical tricks and turns of phrase to describe the totally nonhuman sensual experience of the frog. In his arrogance, Man has failed to even realise the futility of his venture, of superimposing himself onto its self. The frog’s rich experience is its own, and now for possibly the first time in human history Man may, if he allows himself to, glimpse the essence of the frog. But not through word, or through self referential descriptions and calculations; but through self-absolving experience - through the Frog of Earth.

Utilising a range of vintage analog and digital synthesisers plus some newer West coast modular devices. Both interspersed with and influenced by field recordings taken whilst exploring the gaps between the city of London and its semi rural ex-industrial environments. A reflection on moments captured, moments lost and moments re-imagined.

The resulting music operates within a similar space and vibrationexplored by artists such as Harold Budd, Suzanne Cianni, Brian Eno, Steve Reich and Wendy Carlos.
