It was impossible not to move; from the top of her head to the tips of her toes, nothing remained still. The beat was hypnotic, spell-binding, unlike anything she'd heard before. It had a hold over her — so much so that all external factors no longer mattered, the outside world was blocked out. All that existed was her and the sweet vibrations that coursed through her body.

Multi Culti's 12" Axial Tilt series was born as a means to celebrate moments of cosmic significance, of the chaos and balance attached to the equinox and solstice. It's the latter word that the VA takes its title from, with the first iteration being shared last June featuring music from Red Axes, Tyu, Manfredas and Zillas on Acid. Zillas returns on 'Solstice II' with a suitably hypnotic take on Shield Chandra's 'Raqs', which sits next to anthemic club cuts and mind-bending rollers from their extended label family: Andi Otto, Inigo Vontier, Golden Bug and Kino Todo & Danelz.

This latest outing on Multi Culti is a powerhouse of tribal-inflected tracks, eyes-closed percussive spine shakers that provide deep bass therapy as they excite the mind with cinematic atmosphere. If that weren’t enough, cult hero Nicola Cruz returns the remix favour with his massive remix of Brujo Wayuu.

Santiago Niño a.k.a HERMETICS is a Buenos Aires based, Colombian producer that blends traditional folkloric elements with astoundingly immense sound design. His first releases under the ‘Hermetics’ moniker came in 2018 on the legendary R&S, followed by a remix for Nicola Cruz on the latin-american ZZK Records. In the summer of 2020 his single ‘’Escaping Samsara’’ was released on R&S Records, hitting the top 5 on Beatport’s techno chart. Last year’s ''High Strangeness EP'' on Scottish label Optimo Music garnered support from a wide-range of DJs and this EP looks set to crossover even further.

With releases on the likes of Hard Fist, Calypso, Get Physical and Playground, Argentina's Balam finally drops his first full artist EP on Multi Culti, a label where his blend of tribal percussion with folkloric samples and modular synth riffs couldn't be more at home. These five trippy sub-120-bpm tracks invoke spine-shaking trance without resorting to the generic tropes of PSY. Mid-tempo ritual chuggers sure to send psychedelically-inclined clubbers into chakra-raising ecstasies, while converting at least a few listeners as-yet-uninitiated in the cult of 'organic house'.

The 13th release from Hotworx Recordings is under the name Na Ha and belongs to the artist Dio S. Dionisis is from Greece and lives in the town of Xanthi. The track Na Ha starts with downtempo and atmospheric sounds with pads and natural sounds that travel your soul while the amazing vocals combining with the melody that violins have in the track elevates this amazing song. Including in the release is Harri Angel's Remix from another point of view, a blast from the past, along with the future fusing the old and the new with a result that provokes you to dance along and atmospheric at the same time but has succeeded to take us back in time with the style is created.

The album is framed by two contemplative tracks, which are reminiscent of Holger Czukay’s oeuvre. The saxophone in the opening track "The Heath" undulates like an introvert leading voice in a meditation. The long and meticulously crafted ambient outro "Txalaparta" features a spoken word sample by the Basque folk musician Txomin Artola from 1978. The four tracks at the heart of the album are beat driven, percussion-heavy, loaded with synths and random horn samples. "Alo?" sounds like Snakefinger tries to get on a Skype call with Serge Gainsbourg. "Cacti All Over My Head" could well be a Ween instrumental with long arching synth lines over a slowed down bossa nova beat.

Fever is a frivolous album which bursts with exalted charm and guest musicians. This is not another greetings-from-the-lockdown album, but with the obvious reference in the title it’s almost a tongue-in-cheek name about creative obsessions of our times.
It's the debut album by the multi-instrumentalist Y Bülbül who has learned his trade working with various interesting artists and bands in London in the past 10 years. He is also a passionate crate digger and DJ. His own radio show is unerringly titled "Bülbül's Gemüsement Park", which airs on Netil Radio, a community broadcasting station in Hackney.

Bonus fact, Bülbül is the Turkish name for a brown-eared passerine bird, one that's into singing.

At the center, we can see a symbol of Pre-Columbian human creation connected to the 'Latin heart'. The welcoming wooden hand displays the symbiosis that took place between humans and nature, while the majestic jaguar reminds us that he is the true ruler of the continent. For Amazonian natives, the jaguar is everything: The power, the energy of nature, the god of fertilization, and the ruler of the two worlds; Night & Day. The planets around are symbols of their observations of the movement of the earth, while the sacred animals represent some of the astrological signs in Tribal cultures.

Prepare yourselves for a colorful journey following the ancestral tribes of Latin America, across the vast plains of the continent, throughout its majestic mountains and endless jungles, as seen through the eyes of futuristic humans.
