fabric, the cultural institution that has provided the backbone for electronic music within London and worldwide, today (06th September) announce the consolidation of 23 years of influence across the scene with a brand new label, fabric Originals. Drawing from the guiding lights of the genres that have been emanating from the club’s soundsystems and fitting alongside their already hugely established fabric mix series and Houndstooth label, the imprint aims to release special projects from the artists that form the present and future of boundary pushing club music globally.

To launch the label, fabric Originals today unveil A Day After A Night With U / Stars & Water, a new split 12” on coloured vinyl from hi-NRG pioneers @eris-drew & @octoocta .

Opening with ‘A Day After A Night With You’, Eris Drew draws on elements of 90s big beat with a propulsive twist, adding chest-rattling bass notes to anchor the track’s eyes-down 4/4 rhythm. The track’s throwback sensibilities push to the fore further with an infectious soul vocal sample and vintage feeling synths, alongside an almost spiritual mysticism that permeates the song’s skittering production and upbeat melodics.

Created in reaction to ‘A Day After A Night With You’’s dancefloor wonder, Octo Octa’s ‘Stars & Water’ takes on a much more commanding tone. Finding cues from a classic house sound, the track employs deft polyrhythms to build progressive energy. The track’s analog bassline contributes to its authoritative tempo before a beautifully spacious switch up leads the track from a high energy workout to a half-time wander through the track’s sonic oasis, before an ecstatic build towards a final climax.


Limited edition vinyl comes with an exclusive silver die-cut logo slipcase outer. A total of one hundred copies are available worldwide.

Premiere: El Choop - Faith (Deadbeat's In The Chapel Dub)

Born in Milan to a Cameroonian father and a Polish/Lithuanian mother, Dawidowicz's moved to Jerusalem at age six. They have spent their childhood in a Jewish ultra-orthodox environment, playing the piano within the context of religious ceremonies and dreaming of becoming a fashion designer and musician. After waking up from the reality they were raised in, they moved to Venice and started to explore the world outside of the mental barriers of religion. While completing their fashion design degree back in Milan, music was their medicine, and they quickly started developing the practice of storytelling through the medium of sound, serendipitously pursuing their father's path as a disk jockey in the vibrancy of the Eighties and Nineties cosmopolitan Milanese nightlife. Their search for home and their devotion to music brought them quickly to Berlin, where they currently create, live, and love.

Sanctuary of Ideas is a very personal and optimistic journey by Nathan Dawidowicz. A spiritual path, as cosmic and adventurous as Nathan’s trajectory, with beautiful twists and psychedelic twirls into their personal rabbit hole. A record full of memories and positive affirmations, filled with jazzy yet psychedelic Cosmic and Krautrock elements. A fusion of inspiration and a perfect reflection of Dawidowicz's heritage.

Idea`s Eve is a stargate to our ancestral power. The source of our inspiration is connected to our past - to the spirits of our ancient memories. Dawidowicz leaves a lot of space to breathe in this magical opener. Enchanting melodies and bubbling sounds surround the listener while his voice keeps repeating a mantra of an ancient love spell. A track where you feel your DNA spiraling up the ladder of evolution. Yet so natural and healing.

Full Moon Dance is the spiritual continuation of the first track. A swirl of magical melodies, yet jazzy but truly cosmic walking up the ladder to another dimension, where warm moon rays and fluffy clouds surround love. The synth lines represent the playful and smooth moon rays reflected on a rhythmical heart-beating ground where tears can be joyfully spent to honor the emotions we usually oppress.

To close the EP, Nathan Dawidowicz worked a half a year to finalize the last track in full detail. 23 Minutes and 18 Seconds long is the Capricorn Rising Over Jerusalemite Temple. This story is where the listener is brought to a higher level of consciousness. Against the rules of our consumerist world, Nathan Dawidowicz focuses on a dramaturgy full of patience for our own lifetime. Acidic lines come and go, powerful synth solos trigger unknown brain parts, and an epic melody accompanies the listener and lets dark emotions melt in a brass-filled part where a voice tells us that time is on our side. The song ends with an epic twist and promises a new start, where our most lovely memories stay in a vortex of light. Beam me up Nathan

Richmerch returns after several months of absence with an EP by Persona RS and Macaulay. Lovers of skateboarding, 90's Latin electronic music, Latin American food and the chaka scene, they have created El Tiburón EP. Two original tracks with inspirations from Proyecto Uno and Ilegales that bring sounds of bad taste and third world vibes. It features 3 world class remixes ranging from the more ambient and break style sounds of A - Tweed, through the darker, danceable and good sounds by Martin Noise & DELLA to Techno that makes you relive the feeling of being in an underground party of the 90's thanks to the good Rous.

The release is scheduled for August 8th on all digital platforms.

Designed to illicit rapid brain-change on the downtempo dance floor, this is Chug-lorica of the highest order of pyramid power, an advanced exploration of occult psychedelia, alternate linguistic realities, cosmic triggers to unlock deeper meanings and higher truths. ‘Cosmic Trigger’ features a speech about LSD de-fragmentation, the title referencing Robert Anton Wilson’s vision of mental illumination. ‘Tamba’ reprograms the linguistic cortex, featuring the vocal talents and lyrical codex of Viktoria Wehrmeister. While ‘Yama’ deepens the proceedings to the point where one questions the very foundations of life.

If this all sounds too psychically challenging  for a peak time party DJ set, take comfort in the supremely playable acid antics of the ever reliable, Marc Piñol. Subdued ecstatic house, this remix perfectly reflects those rare moments of MDMA-bliss where one’s heart is FULLY open while one’s dignity remains intact. Clearly a producer you can count on when you get high and still want to dance. 

Ordained drum-machine funk-monk Krikor smashes Yama into a post-Anthropocene Jamaican dancehall where cyber-dreadlocks connect mankind to ORICOM, the Gaian matrix. To be featured in the rave scene in the upcoming MATRIX feature film starring Keanu Reeves and Richie Hawtin as The AI.
