28th October sees distinguished Spanish DJ, producer and Sincopat label boss AFFKT release the first of two instalments of remix EPs of his recently released second album, ‘Son Of A Thousand Sounds’, distributed via his aforementioned imprint.

Praised for its genre-defying style, Valencia artist AFKKT aka Marc Martinez Nadal’s sophomore album coupled sounds from Dance, Electronic, Indie and more with a formidable line-up of guests including singer Sutja Gutierrez and producers Upercent and Piek. It was an album that exhibited his technical ability and further highlighted why he has been so in demand since his 2012 debut, ‘Punto 0’.

Kicking off the release is Sicilian DJ/producer, Paul Ursin, who reworks ‘Esclafit’, turning the playful Electronic number into a sinister, deep-groover. M.in and D-Lee’s remix of ‘Mareny’ follows, seeing the pair utilising the original’s driving synths and fusing them with layered drums and looped vocals.

Rising Spanish talent Squire turns AFFKT and Upercent’s track ‘Boria’ into a deep, understated House number, retaining the psychedelic palette whilst still pushing the track in new directions. 

Closing the first remix EP is Wavekiki’s edit of ‘Someone In The Sky’, featuring Sutja Gutierrez. This 7-minute outing brings Sutja’s silky vocals to the front of the track, introducing nuances of strings and guitars to great effect.

‘Son Of A Thousand Sounds Remixed 01’ is available via Sincopat from 28th October.

Nana K. & Ben Champbell mark their debut on Lauter Unfug with

„Twerkhain“ and „Jackflip“.

Both tracks certainly stand out against the trivial tech house monotony by their distinct elements. „Twerkhain“ builds up to a whirling lead synth that takes you on a carousel ride while „Jackflip“ unfolds on a saturated dirty acid bass line.

M.In delivers his reinterpretation of „Twerkhain“, adding some funky grooves to the original, making it a perfect floor filler and memorable tune at once.

Tarde leans towards a more technoid approach, conceiving a track that slowly builds up to its peak and giving it a nice wide feel by adding some large reverb on the claps.

The Belgian Producer Seba Lecompte goes all techno giving the track a more analogue feel.

The “Twerkhain” EP is a 5 Track release that reaches from house to techno, covering many niches of underground music which will certainly find its way to the dancefloors around the world.

Nana K. & Ben Champell - Twerkhain (M.in Remix)

For the fourth edition of "Slow Motion"’s Soundtrack Serie, they welcome another italian established producer; Valerio Lombardozzi aka Heinrich Dressel, headhoncho of super tight Minimal Rome label. "Space Shaft" is three tracks of dreamy, sleazy space-funk delivered with a light touch across expansive musical horizons. Backed up with a brace of "Ma Spaventi" remixes, both "disco" and "chill", Space Shaft is a record for movie fans and dancers alike.

'In Reaktionen' to Sascha Funke’s ‘In Relationen’ comes this remix package from Multi Culti, featuring contributions from Autarkic, Kasper Bjorke and Crowdpleaser.

Israel’s super-talented Autarkic converts the main theme into a progressive new-wave epic, extrapolating on the gently weeping, psychedelic guitar line with vocals that superimpose his own personal narrative, making this exceptionally intimate remix work. If that all seems a bit heavy for your party, there’s also an instrumental version which features no mention of mental breakdown.

Great Dane Kasper Bjorke builds on the lead lines, adding funky percussion layers and a hypnotic synth while skillfully containing the prog to a more dancefloor friendly arrangement. 

To keep things fresh, Funke adds a dope original track as well, and it’s a total pachanga popper that sounds like it was taken out of a Mayan Warrior highlight reel, the sound of a funky German man donning pointy-cowboy-boots, riding out into the desert on a diet of mushroom tacos and artisanal mescal. In other words - it will set your legs on fire. 

Swiss stoner Crowdpleaser slides in with a remix exclusive for the cult Bandcamp core, one that takes the crowd to the peak of the party, to the moment when that baseball-bat sized reefer hits the dance floor with a puff in it for everyone. Pure stoner party-house swinging in smoky delight.
