Stepping up to the SOLITUDE guest mix series this week is a DJ who is multi-talented, overly creative and who proper lives and breathes this music culture. Presenting SOPHIA @sophhmichael 💜

Her mix is clean as you like, featuring a host of names who have been on our series before and a bunch of other icons in the scene. It’s loaded with reworks of classics, some banging alternate mixes and it just flows through styles super nicely. 

We met Sophia at the last SOLITUDE event, got chatting about what she’s up to and had to get her involved in the series. She’s been heavily into old-school garage from young and is now thriving in the NUKG scene. 

London born and Manchester based, Sophia has her own show every Sunday 1pm - 3pm on @pieradiouk and is currently working as a Broadcast Assistant on @bbc6music - a day proper music head whose also recently played on @subtleradio & @reformradio 🔥 

We suggest you also check her self-founded social platform @artdressit. A multi-arts night in MCR combining poets, artists, musicians, producers and DJ’s. These events have all sold out in the past and beautifully reps that connectivity and creativity we mentioned earlier. 

Sophia played one of her first gigs out for the @groove.ldn crew in Jan, and has since played sets most weekends since. You can catch her at their next event, details TBA. Shout out the Groove crew every time.
