Been collecting a bunch of random analogue synths and other bits of external noise making equipment over the last few months which I justified to myself by saying I'd make a sample pack... This tune came together made entirely from those bits and pieces so thought would be a nice place to start my venture into that world of sample packs.

You can purchase the tune on it's own or for £5 you get the tune, the stems and every single sound in the track in single hit and loop form, both processed and raw where appropriate. 90% analogue stuff, with plenty of versatility to do whatever you want with them entirely royalty free.

Upon purchase I'll email the link with the properly organised sample pack (single hits / one shots etc) as Bandcamp doesn't let me include that directly.

Got plans to do a few of these so get in touch if you've got any ideas for what you'd like to see in future projects.

Its not often you come across a team of 3 producers under one alias, but that is exactly how the 3 close friends from Sheffield started creating music together in 2013, 6 years later nothing has changed as the trio embark on their 1Forty debut release. Sam, Alex & Arthur all studied at college and started to gain some traction on the club circuit a couple of years later mainly in and around Sheffield at venues such as The Night Kitchen, Yellow Arch, Hope Works, The Harley and Plug.

Following Arthur’s move to the hub of underground music - Bristol, he started on the circuit there which lead him to the heights of playing a sold out Motion on a number of occasions amongst other venues such as Blue Mountain and the intimate Cosies. Spinning all things that 1Forty typically hones in on - UKG, Grime, Funky & Bass, they’ve performed alongside a host of names including Commodo, Loefah, Khan & Neek, Plastician, Bassboy, Swifta Beater, TC4 and Devilman just to name a few.

The trio still produce together sending stems back and forth which hasn’t hindered workflow by any means. Releases have come across Hot Cakes, Project Allout, Saucy Music, Second To None, Pack London and more. In that time they have gathered support from names including Flava D, DJ Q, Zinc, DJ Haus, Shift K3y, Conducta, Murlo, Sammy Virji and L U C Y amongst others.

Arab electronica is a burgeoning genre across the globe, and a new compilation is charting the trajectory of Egypt’s underground, bass-and-beat-heavy dance form – Mahraganat music. The ‘Cairo Concepts’ comp features club producers like DJ Haram (who recently delivered an excellent Dummy Mix drawing on Middle Eastern influences), and @1djplead, looping them in with Mahraganat’s most influential Egyptian figures such as Belya Al Karnak and AlShareef Tor5y. It’s being put together by one of the first DJs to dedicate himself to Mahraganat outside of Egypt, Phil Battiekh. We’re premiering ‘Ana Ho’ by Melbourne-based Nervous Horizon affiliate, DJ Plead – featuring Alaa Fifty (formerly known as Alaa Fifty Cent). Interpolating the instrumental of Dr. Dre’s ‘Still D.R.E’, he’s spun it into a cutting-edge banger of Arabic dance.
