My name is Santi Balbo-Ibanez (He-They) and I am a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter and composer whose work spans synthpop, indie-pop, folk, trip-hop, dance and experimental electronic textures. My music explores themes of identity, displacement, connection, and the emotional undercurrents of everyday life. With a background in playing keys and production I blend lyrical depth with sonic experimentation, crafting songs that are as intimate as they are inventive.
Since emerging on the local scene in 2014 I have released 1 EP and 3 singles and performed at small-scale venues. Currently, I am engaged in several collaborations with other local producers and artists across Melbourne’s indie and queer music scenes, building a sound that is distinctly personal and richly atmospheric.

I'm just sayin' what the Astrayan people are sayin' , like a parrot or ventriloquist, and sometimes I do it with a sampler.

A co-creator and resident of HART — Queer Techno, Sluddy Daddy channels the dark, sex-charged pulse of the dance floor into every set. His mixes are a collision of deep basslines, driving percussion, and nasty, hedonistic energy that blurs the line between pleasure and punishment.
Rooted in the DIY ethos of Naarm’s queer rave scene, he’s carved out a reputation for bringing the filthy sass wherever he goes — from the sweat-drenched spaces of HART, Barba and Blanke Pop to the open-air chaos of REEMERGENCE Festival and Camp Euphoria. Alongside appearances at Squeak, Rave Temple, and Queer Sauna Sounds, Sluddy Daddy’s sets have become a beacon for those seeking something real — dark, dirty, and deeply queer.
Always pushing deeper into the underground, Sluddy Daddy isn’t just playing music — he’s cultivating a space where the freaks, lovers, and late-night souls can lose themselves completely.
