year. Therefore, Kenneth Bager has collected
Music For Dreams classics from the past 20 years.

Amongst the 20 classics is Kenneth’s tune 'What's My Name (Album Disco Edit)' featuring speak from Danish actor Sofie Gråbøl. You’ll also find DJ Disse’s wonderful interpretation of ‘Walk On the Wild Side’ by Lou Reed, a cover that’s sure to set the mood.

Shelley Short’s ‘Coo Coo Bird’ remixed by Rødsten & Jesper Rummenigge is one of the compilation’s up-tempo tunes. Kenneth makes you sway right into ‘Rain’ by Cantoma – that might seem like an unpleasant thing... it’s really not!

‘Drømmen’ by the deceased extraordinary percussionist Jacob Andersen aka. Bongo Entp. is also included delivering splendid percussion as always, and a huge sounding brass section. 

Kenneth makes you stay just a bit longer in the
rain by including Frontera’s ‘Walking in the
 Rain’.

Hailing from Gent, Belgium, kaleidoscopic disco band Rheinzand is a collaborative project between multi-instrumentalist and producer Reinhard Vanbergen, Charlotte Caluwaerts and Mo Disko of renowned duo The Glimmers; accompanied live by Stéphane Misseghers (dEUS) on drums and Bruno Coussée (MannGold) on bass. Their second album 'At- lantis Atlantis' have gotten great critique in the UK. Now they’re releasing ‘Atlantis Atlantis’ once again with extended mixes.

Upon turning on 'Atlantis Atlantis', the oh so welcome spectre of recently departed Maria Mendola - the airy chanteuse of the beloved Bacchara - seems to appear. Charlotte Caluwaerts, a voice of similar purity proffers the message: “We’ll be alright” on their first single, offering a salve to the troubles the world has faced in recent years. As with their previous work, melody is key. Rich arrangements abound, with Reinhard Vanbergen’s light and funky crevices detailing a home that feels cozy, inviting the listener into the best, most unexpected club around; the one in their living room with all their closest friends. The “Max Berlin” of the group, Mo Disko, is no stranger to bringing this kind of intimacy to his events and freewheeling DJ sets for decades in Gent, Belgium. Once again, his spirit pushes the record into that inviting place where inhibition dissolves, (aka you can really freak out).   Much of Rheinhard Vanbergen’s recent output for Music for Dreams has expertly traversed the forgotten worlds of virtuoso led experimental records, full lengths with tracks that maestros like DJ Harvey undoubtedly treasure. There are glimpses of these danceable instrumental improvisational landscapes such as ”Orange Bun”. One thing about Rheinzand is that they are musicians driven to make dance music that harkens back to a moment when real players appeared on dance music records. These were musicians devoted to their instruments, the kind who made love to them on stage, unafraid of modulations, bombast, histrionics even (cue Elefantasi). Slower subdued numbers reiterate the “journey to Atlantis” we are on, such as the a cover of “Love Games” an honest low slung boogie take on the track.   One of the biggest takeaways from 'Atlantis Atlantis' is the excavation of the real fun that was had in dance music before the advent of loop-based technology. Epic chord progressions, singing songs in multiple languages - these are musicians exploring the colour palette of the entire Pantone spectrum, not only shades of grey and black. Rheinzand's 2020 s/t debut album was awarded Piccadilly Records' (Manchester) number 1 album of the year and Phonica (London) gave them a well-deserved place in their top 50 of best albums of 2020. Tracks from the album such as ‘Blind’ were championed by DJ Harvey during his summer residency at Pikes Ibiza, and the band have had tracks on the first two volumes of his Mercury Rising compilations.

The EP starts with the downtempo ‘Bleu’ giving hints of the duo’s fabulous debut album. This is followed up by the title track ‘Sól’ whose theme consists of an imaginary and intoxicating brass.

‘Candisiva’ brings in the guitar and a flow like water. When you thought you might get up off the sunbed to dance, the fourth wonder ‘Elliot’ comes on and makes you twist and shout. Bringing the whole EP together is the chill-out tune ‘Bien’.

The Brazilian-Danish group Copenema return with a remix album of their debut LP, Deixa a Música Tocar. In addition to the nine remixes, this album also features ‘Sem Voce’ and unreleased exclusive ‘The Night is A Child’. 
When the album released back in May 2019, the unabashedly balmy sound of Copenema’s samba-tinged Balearic had already made its rounds on Ibiza by way singles such as ‘Te Faz Bem’ and ‘Nada Mais’. 
This cross-musical alliance proved a hit; irrepressibly sunny melodies, soothing, dancing, buzzing in the air. What was only meant to be a few casual yet excited recording sessions turned into a full studio album.  
This release compiles a selection of remixes of those workds. There is an ambient version of ‘Ja Te Falei’. There are special alternative mixes of ‘Nada Mais’ and ‘Deixa a Música Tocar’. There are remixes by Brazilian DJ Meme, Greek CheapEdits and Kenneth Bager’s own treatments. And more…
