I am bringing more and more of my spiritual practice into the music journeys I create and hold.

I’ve played this set live at Green Gallery in Koh Phangan, a very relaxed vegan restaurant that regularly hosts live musicians playing ethnic and world music, around the fire.

I’ve included devotional, spiritual and religious music from different traditions and places, some of them performed by monks or people who have devoted their life to finding the divine through music.

The first hour is more melodic and loosley-mixed, and then it gets more “Dancy”.

This set also includes my remix of “Shiva Manas Puja” by Craig Pruess, which will be released soon by the wonderful Kośa label, and will be my first published music track.

I'd love to hear how this journey makes you feel, and please PM me to recommend your favorite devotional music.

ABOUT:

In the beginning, was the Word.
We heard it, we read it, but have we understood and embodied it?

When it comes to the word "prayer" most of us think in terms of religion and God.
What if we told you that prayer, is nothing more than words infused with strong intention and emotion?

It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I started to work in ways I haven’t known before, alongside a person that today I can call mentor and brother, Arkin Çelik, and that has introduced me to a school of thought and a school of expression that changed my life!

Arkin introduced me to a text that said to work as a command/contract with life and aimed for the higher benefit and joy of humanity.

He invited me to revisit it and to add music.

A year ago the “Prayer of the Highest Good & Potential” has been released to the world from the social media accounts of @themusicmedicine and got incredible feedback from all around the world.

A text composed in years and that is a distilled extract of all the knowledge and wisdom of ourselves and our teachers.

During many months we kept meeting and discussing "expression design" - his craft - among other interesting stuff, and how important it is to use the word correctly and to be precise on our speech and affirmations.

Since the main interest of The Music Medicine is the effect of sound in all forms and the word is a sound, I got hooked when Arkin revealed his intention to co-create and release this powerful prayer that intentionally targets using the word for the good, best benefit and potential of anyone who uses it and anyone who is involved!

It has been a long and meticulous process to choose together the right words and finally to combine them with the right music!

A year after we have re-visited the same text, I added 100% self-composed music and I am more than happy to release the updated version to the world, today, on the energetic portal of 12/12/20, which favors the manifestation of new beginnings, dreams & projects!


May it bring you strength, alignment and hope and may it work its positive magic for the highest good and potential into your life!

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. There was music from my neighbor’s house through the summer nights. In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars. At high tide in the afternoon I watched his guests diving from the tower of his raft or taking the sun on the hot sand of his beach while his two motor-boats slit the waters of the Sound, drawing aquaplanes over cataracts of foam. On week-ends his Rolls-Royce became an omnibus, bearing parties to and from the city, between nine in the morning and long past midnight, while his station
wagon scampered like a brisk yellow bug to meet all trains. And on Mondays eight servants including an extra gardener toiled all day with mops and scrubbing-brushes and hammers and garden-shears, repairing the ravages of the night before. Every Friday five crates of oranges and lemons arrived from a fruiterer in New York—every Monday these same oranges and lemons left his back door in a pyramid of pulpless halves. ZebraCak3 is a gentleman from Maiami. This is his first offering for Shango Records and comes with remixes by Giovanny Aparicio, Kellie Sakkaku and Renzo Zong. These tracks makes us smile and we're sure you will smile too.
