Kenneth Bager & Findlay Brown release new single ’Love From Outer Space’ – out July 23.

The track comes off a collaborative album currently under way from the Danish electronic pioneer and the British singer-songwriter. The album, titled Silence Was Singing, is set to be released in 2025 on Music For Dreams.

‘Love From Outer Space’ is a luscious piece of electronic space pop, which takes inspiration from the post-disco sounds of Paradise Garage. The track was produced in collaboration with Copenhagen-based producers WALTHER and OliO.

It features glitzy harlequin synths, talk box vocals, groovy guitar by Jonas Krag aka Santino Surfers and a fanfare brass section consisting of David Santiuste (trumpet), Roberto Lorenzo Elekes (trombone) and Pablo Hernández Ramos (Sax).

Vocals are, of course, by Findlay Brown while backing vocals are provided by Marie Carmen Koppel and Jimmy Bacoli.

Findlay Brown says: ”I thought the music that Kenneth sent me was really positive, almost spiritual. When I wrote the lyrics, I was thinking about waking up in the morning and seeing my wife sleeping with that early morning sunlight on her face and how perfect it was and how it was like a gift from outer space, like pure love raining down on her. And then there’s the obvious nod to Andy Weatherall.”

We recently premiered a Marvin & Guy remix from the Carrot Green & Selvagem EP released on Disco Halal. On his new outing for "The Magic Movement", Rio de Janeiro's own Carrot Green blends brazilian grooves, house and techno to generate his own outstanding dancefloor gem.  Already proven in the "Brazilian Shakedown" series and other stunning releases, the producer Carlos Gualda knows his trade. The title track here premiered "Dança das Crianças" features brazilian spoken word, chanting and slightly peculiar synth chords enhanced with a strong house beat ; simply awesome ! This is a little edit I've been keeping under wraps for a while that has been approved by @kindness themself. The original is a stunning track they created in aid of the British Red Cross' 'A Long Road' album in 2016, which sought to highlight and share stories from refugees by teaming them up with musicians. As the son of a refugee myself — and my mother was welcomed to the UK by the BRC specifically – their beautifully evocative rendition of one refugee's story struck a particular chime and I decided to create a deep dancefloor version of it.

Unfortunately due to licensing issues we weren't able to figure out an official release, but they have given me permission to post it as a stream.

Gerd Janson sends Rheinzand into orbit with this turbocharged remix double. The Running Back label owner and longstanding DJ heavywheight enlists his house music fluency, revving up the disco gleam of ‘Blind’ on its own terms. Charlotte Caluwaerts vocals reverberate through space ray arpeggiators and burnished drum gates in a pulsating play of silver and silk.
Janson’s effort here sends our thoughts to gentler times as we imagine it either booming from a preposterous sound system in a sweaty basement or glowing in Mediterranean starlight. Either way, the energy of this one deserves a real dancefloor so let’s hope it gets one soon.

Hailing from the creative hub of Ghent, the group consists of multi-instrumentalist Reinhard Vanbergen (emphasis on multi), producer Mo Disko of the renowned duo The Glimmers and vocalist Charlotte Caluwaerts of Tundra.
