Music For Dreams, the Copenhagen-based label spearheading the new movement of Balearic music and electronica, presents ‘Music For Dreams – Copenhagen 2016 Vol #1, featuring their recent digital and vinyl output plus never before released tracks.

Compiled by label founder and Balearic ambassador Kenneth Bager, the album showcases a diverse range of eclectic material including chilled, downtempo and house music from artists such as legendary Cafe Del Mar DJ, Phil Mison’s new album project, Ambala, Ruf Dug, Borneland, DJ Pippi & Kenneth Bager, Emll Germ, and Jose Manuel.

Album highlights include beautiful and mesmerising tracks ‘La Serenata (Dream Of You) by DJ Pippi & Kenneth Bager, ‘Eyes’ by Borneland, Private Nurse (Caius Remix) by Emil Germ, Speedboat by Rug Dug, ‘G -T Salong’ by Golden Ivy, and ‘Coral’ By Bonnie & Klein.

The album contains many new and unreleased tracks including Ambala - Walk With The Dreamers (feat. Laid Back), DJ Leon El Ray - Deep In My Soul (Chillwalker String Mix) (will be released 15th January), The Kenneth Bager Experience feat. Damon C. Scott - Follow The Beat (José Manuel Remix), José Manuel – Congo, Cantoma - Mondo Christo (The Kenneth Bager Experience Edit), Visti & Meyland - Sharing The Light (Payfone Remix), Peter Visti & Kenneth Bager - Madness (feat. Lukas Visti).

The album is released on Music For Dreams on CD and digital on Friday 8th January.

The label has since its day of birth sold over 2 million albums and its artists have featured on more than 1000 different compilations worldwide.

Artist fond of ethnic music, began to be interested in dj-culture in 1996, when he moved to London and he was strongly galvanized by the magic of Anokha nights at the Blue Note. Following this bright trail of sound he has a rich background of electronics, and has acquired a musical knowledge from Asian scene and joining Anglo-Indian culture. Now back in Italy, he contributes to some local radios of Venice (Italy) and takes part in the production of some radio broadcasts, bringing together some very influential artist’s interviews and thinkings like Nils Petter Molvaer, Jason Swincosei (Cinematic Orchestra), Nicola Conte, Nitin Sawhney, Trilok Gurtu, Philip Cohen Solar (Gotan Project) and some others. He got a radio programm called Worldbeat at Radio Base Popolare Network. Also his performance took different festivals like Paese Jazz Festival, Festival Biblivo, Ubi Jazz, VRIO - Verona Risuona Impro Orchestra, Carnival of Venice, OltreFrontiera, Veneto Jazz, Atri Etnorock, Vogue Fashion's Night Out and High Fondation (during the edition 2004, he closed the performance of Talvin Singh). At the moment he plays several nights in clubs live in duo/trio combo or dj-set. Where during cocktail parties or dinners, he selects from his eclectic and heated set, sounds whose range starts from balearic going to chill-out passing through nu-jazz and brasilian to create an ethnic atmosphere. Available on winter 2021 his first compilaton that travels through his musical sensibility from Imaginària Records.

Artista appassionato di musica etnica, ha iniziato ad interessarsi alla dj-culture nel 1996, quando si è trasferito a Londra ed è stato fortemente galvanizzato dalla magia delle notti Anokha al Blue Note. Seguendo questa brillante scia di suoni, ha un ricco background di elettronica e ha acquisito una conoscenza musicale dalla scena asiatica e si è unito alla cultura anglo-indiana. Tornato in Italia, collabora con alcune radio locali di Venezia (Italia) e prende parte alla produzione di alcune trasmissioni radiofoniche, riunendo interviste e pensieri di artisti molto influenti come Nils Petter Molvaer, Jason Swincosei (Cinematic Orchestra), Nicola Conte , Nitin Sawhney, Trilok Gurtu, Philip Cohen Solar (Gotan Project) e alcuni altri. Ha ottenuto un programma radiofonico chiamato Worldbeat presso Radio Base Popolare Network.
