For me summer is a moment during I really love to listen some brazilian songs lincluded the brand new Mario Bakuna Band and the great Edu Lobo’s cover « Ponteio » by Ensemble Novo.

To finish the mix, as offen, I have put some uptempo tracks from Jazz Funk like the great Opolopo tweak of Yellow Jackets and the last JK group and Nathaniel Cross to Broken Beat included a new remix of Kaidi Tatham for Allysha Joy !"

Took the short journey from Utrecht to Leiden to visit the family over at Maxi Radio! Once again I had a blast meeting them all and enjoying the wonderful space they have over there. This set is a reflection of that I hope. I opened the schedule so started off nice and soft with some soothing soul before working through plenty of boogie. Slowly bringing in the four to the floor deep and garage house, finally ending with some freestyle and more synth-laden funk.

Mats has selected too some rare gems, which remember he was a very serious digger and records collector during the 80’s and 90’s like the Killer Britfunk "Final Approach" by ICQ !

Some Future classics also featured by Mats and myself like the EWF’s Cover "Can’t hide love" by Mishcael Stephenson and one of the best Jazz record of the year by Emma-Jean Thackray.
