Influences: I’ve been greatly influenced by local music festivals and the YouTube rabbit hole :) A transformative moment for me was seeing Octo Octa tear up the decks at Piknic Electronik in 2019. I felt like I had tapped into something... like a musical collective consciousness - the rhythms were just so familiar and grounding. Since then, I’ve been incredibly drawn to the 90s and their irreplicable energy  as well as to some more recent house producers. I think the real influence though is just the sounds and the way they move me.
 
Affiliations/Residencies/Projects: Just doing my own thing at the moment, but working on some projects that I hope to share soon!

Hard Club. Com este projeto, desdobro-me em maquinaria para compor
ou actuar ao vivo.
     Formei-me na área de som e desde tenra idade que me interesso
por música.
     Acompanhei a transição do vinil para cassete, da cassete para
o CD e presenciei o início da internet. É essa rapidez que o mundo
vive que me inquieta e me dá vontade de me expressar através de
loops que se assemelham á nossa atabalhoada rotina diária e que
nos aproxima da maquinaria que nos rodeia e nos afasta da nossa
vontade de Ser.

VHS is Vitor Silva, a multi-instrumentalist with connections at Dark Sessions, collective that had been represented at places such as Gare and Hard Club. 
With this project I unfold myself in machinary to compose or live act.
I'm graduated in the sound area, and since I know myself as a person I was interested in music. I went through the transiction from vinyl to cassete, cassete to CD and the beggining of the internet. It's this rushing that the world is ran that makes me unquiet and motivates me to express myself across loops that sounds like our messy daily routine, that makes us closer to machinary that surrounds us and pushes away our will of Being.

Formally known as Nina Nana, the *teacher, DJx, performer, and event planner* have co-founded and co-directed the legendary GENEVEGAS parties in Geneva. Nyx got fired from Geneva’s public education because of their queer performances; they’ve been fighting the  power since then.
Witchx Bitchx, their sets are as fluid as the DJx themself. They play all kinds of good music, but they have a soft spot for trance and hardcore. Good night!

I could probably write a thesis at this point about the sonics of suburban ennui and self-discovery — for now it’s mixes like this that help me realize that no I was not truly alone out in the suburbs, there were other kindred spirits scattered hither and yon. @diletamtl is one of said spirits - a dear friend and absolute mind bending dj / selector / artist / whatever who has developed a keen sense of atmosphere and world building. "Ducking Life: a record of urban seclusion" est une heure d'ennui cinématique, familiar to many that grew up in suburbia at the start of the end of history.

"This one is mostly cinematic synth-heavy slow beats: downtempo, industrial, post-punk, slowfast motorik, experimental atmospherics - with a couple unsettling emotional favourite "centerpieces". I tried to capture the feeling of (sub)urban disconnection - walking aimlessly for hours and feeling like an outsider in your own hometown, with a melancholic warmth in your chest, terrifying thoughts and beings smashing around. (Also about feeling like a ducking duck)."

So I’m delighted to get a mix from one of BAKK’s founders.
