Not only is @theokottis joining our podcast series this week, but early next month he will join the label family too. His new Lighthouse EP is a perfect encapsulation of the Scotsman's style - house, techno and electro fusions with a knowing nod to the 90s and plenty of both physical and emotional impact. It's his first work since a "self-imposed creative reset" and comes after previous outings on the likes of Permanent Vacation and DGTL that have established the Space Dust label and party founder as someone who is as effective as he is unpretentious whether making or playing records.

His mix for us is inspired by recent gigs and is made up of tracks that were particularly well-received by the crowds. It's two hours of slick selections cross the house, techno and electro spectrum so, says Theo, "there's something for everyone to dance their way into 2024." And he's not wrong: this is exactly the sort of impossibly groovy soundtrack you want to warm you up and get you going with just the right balance between head and heel.

Bringing a whole ton of positive energy to her sets and releases alike, among them those for Permanent Vacation and Robert Johnson, Jorkes mashes up jocular disco with every house classic you can name. A key focus to her work too is the elevation of issues related to gender and queerness, making her a shoo-in for the Hydrash endeavour. It’s a cheeky and salacious celebration of life, a middle finger to imposed normativity, one that ramps up the serotonin minute by minute. Bassiani Podcast 205 is cheeky and fearless, a no fucks given mix packed full of glistening synths and euphoric diva vocals, feel-good rhythms from the Bassiani floor.

Artist Info:
Madota is the musical lovechild of urban shepherds Behnam & Mehran. Iranian by birth, Canadian by upbringing, these two have come a long way from their own journeys before reuniting in Berlin.

What we know is that their deeply rooted love for electronic music led them to storm Vancouver's nightlife as DJs since 2011 which in turn prepared them to start their experimentation with making music that pulls influences from their hyphenated backgrounds. Their music captures their subtle lust for colorful and organic sounds coupled with their itch for darker forward-leaning grooves.

Their music has already taken them to perform numerous times in legendary gatherings such as Katerblau in Berlin, ZERO in NYC, Acidcase in Berlin and Woomoon in Ibiza. They continue to nurture their lovechild in Berlin with releases on labels such as Get Physical, Kindisch and Kiosk I.D.

contest for a hit track “Angetenar” by Rompasso (the vocal version of the
original is known as “Ignis“).
The author of official remixes for the tracks of such famous artists on the Melodic scene as Ewan Rill, Alexander Alar, Allies for Everyone, East Cafe,
Alexey Romeo, and others.

Michon’s tracks and releases have repeatedly hit the TOP100 of Beatport and Traxsource, also supported by many DJs and producers around the whole world. Among them: Solomun, Black Coffee, Mind Against, Adriatique, M.A.N.D.Y., Adana Twins, Henry Saiz, Nic Fanciulli, Edu Imbernon, Quivver, Nicole Moudaber, Lonya, Wally Lopez, Savvas, Ferry Corsten, Piemont, Petar Dundov, Sasha Carassi, Acumen, Red Axes, Gai Barone, Dusk, Mariano Mellino, Ilona Maras, Melody Stranger, and others.
