MNL's long lasting 'Seasons' series is back with the latest installment, presenting five brand new tracks by five- or in this case actually six new artists.

Often a blend between familiar artists and talented newcomers, the Winter 2024 edition is actually packed with label debutants. Alongside Untouchable Lion, Dany Dz, Axel Giova, Juan Buitrago and Nikola Jovanovic, Enzo Paradiso is actually the only artist who had appeared on MNL before.

Madloch's Sound Avenue label is thrilled to welcome back Agustin Pengov from Argentina, presenting his impressive three-track EP titled "Plastic Heart." Alongside the title track, this release features the progressive house gems "Changes" and "Casino." Agustin's recent debut on Sound Avenue's inaugural "Dimension" compilation with the track "That" garnered widespread acclaim and positive feedback from industry veterans. In late '23, he also released another EP on our 3rd Avenue sublabel, where he delivered an exceptional remix for St.Ego. Agustin Pengov is undoubtedly an artist to keep a close eye on.

Plaisirs Sonores Records, the Montreal-based label founded by Hicky & Kalo, is thrilled to announce its monumental 50th release. 

To mark this significant milestone, the label presents two exceptional remixes of previously released tracks by the label founders. 

Karmon, the prodigious talent associated with Diynamic, emerges from a three-year hiatus to bestow an illustrious remix upon the timeless 'Time We Spent Together.' In his signature style, Karmon crafts a masterpiece that is destined to become an instant classic, honoring the melody of Hicky & Kalo. 

Makebo, known for his distinctive blend of organic and progressive elements, takes the reins on 'Luminous Path,' infusing the original track with his unique touch. Already championed by industry luminaries such as Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Amonita, and M.O.S., Makebo's remix is set to captivate both old and new audiences. 

Label founders Hicky & Kalo express their gratitude for the journey so far: "Reaching our 50th release is a momentous occasion. We are honored to have Karmon and Makebo contribute their exceptional talents to remix our tracks. This milestone is a celebration of the incredible artists who have been part of our journey. Two years after the release of his 'Solar Attachment EP', George Alhabel makes his return on Manual Music's MNL label with a quality double A-sider which showcases the tracks 'Obsolete' and 'Solace'.

One of the key figures in Australia's progressive house scene, George Alhabel has released his music on famous labels such as Mango Alley, One of a Kind and UGENIUS. His productions are always quality over quantity, so you just know that whenever he releases something new it's well worth your attention. Just listen to 'Obsolete' and 'Solace' and you'll know what we're talking about.

If the two originals aren't enough for you we've added Colombian heavy weight Kamilo Sanclemente on remix duties and he brings his buddy Mauro Aguirre along for the ride.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue label welcomes back Kebin Van Reeken from Buenos Aires, Argentina with the remix EP of "Euphoria," which was released last year. The title track has been given a remix treatment by Mattim, making his label debut. Hailing from Córdoba, Argentina, Mattim has recently released music on labels like Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, and Juicebox Music. The second remix for "Euphoria" is by Yahra, who achieved a #1 spot on the Beatport Progressive Charts last year with his track "Lighty" on our label.

The track "Invisible" has been remixed by Brazilian producer Gorkiz, known for his releases on labels such as Toolroom, Clubsonica Records, Balkan Connection, and Stereo Productions. The final remix is delivered by Leandro Murua & ZAHNA, who are also familiar names within the Sound Avenue label group.

A seasoned pairing, EANP have been powerful proponents of the Progressive House scene for a decade and nearly 200 production credits. Now making their Meanwhile debut, “The Other Side / Uncut Gems / Atoms” showcases a triumphant partnership.

Combining the talents of Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca, the Argentinean duo have been working together since 2014. Both respected DJs and producers in their own rights, they have performed behind the decks throughout their homeland alongside the likes of Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, and Nick Muir. Similarly, a sparkling portfolio has seen a plethora of original and remix material feature on the likes of Mango Alley, Juicebox Music, Reminiscence Recordings and Replug.

Joining forces with fellow countryman and legendary figure of Juan Deminicis on the opener, “The Other Side” is a chunky driving number that revels in a gently shifting percussive groove that forms a strong backbone for a series of cadenced melodic components to sit atop with majestic ease. Building a more intense head-shaking groove with every movement, effected vocal phrases add to the intensity while languid and unhurried pads add subtle juxtaposition to the dynamic dancefloor structures. The result is a stunning progressive treasure that is certain to find favour with the DJ elite.

Striding out on their own EANP continue the fizzing percussive urgency via “Uncut Gems” as shakers and closed hi-hats swing across the near 9-minute piece with club-friendly energy. A seismic sub-bass groove adds to the forceful character while Tech House characteristics shine through with angular effects and well-placed synth stab. A smooth arpeggiated sequence comes to the fore at the mid-point alongside a new melodic character as it extends into the third movement to create a hard-edged modern Progressive House jewel.

The final track finds “Atoms” creating a dominant rhythmic framework that subtly comes to life through use of a muted synth motif in perfectly metrical syncopation. A deep sub-bassline adds to the story as the track builds through its phases with swirling white-noise washes and whistling wind-effects adding atmosphere and a haunting quality. Dropping back into the devastating hypnotic groove in the second half, “Atoms” is full of atomic authority.

Taking the modern progressive house scene to new heights with its deep and tech influences, EANP have illustrated that the grass is greener on “The Other Side” with “Uncut Gems” and “Atoms” combining to make an impressive triptych.
