Formerly known as Jean De La Baptiste, alizé finds comfort in contortion around the most varied of styles, sounds, and moods. Originally from Nipaluna/Hobart where they supported and ran parties featuring the likes of Sherelle, Detroit in Effect, HAAi, and Mama Snake, they now look to share their tongue-in-cheek style with crowds on the big island. This mix is an encapsulating ride through breakbeat, UKG, acid, rave, and techno.

Very glad to be welcoming Frank Grimes on to the show

Niall has been collaborating and contributing to Dublin's nightlife for a number of years, most notably playing an important role with Dublin modular. 

The collective embraces upcoming artists from different mediums of music and visual arts as well as developing unique events in venues like Pallas Studios and The Complex.

Alongside this, they run workshops for music production and djing of which Niall has shared his wealth of knowledge 

Under his alias frank grimes, Niall has shared music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp fusing elements of jungle, breaks and bass and sample based cuts.

This Friday as part of Culture Night you can catch Frank Grimes at meeting house square temple bar alongside Dublin modular djs

Lots of music to share this evening with artists like escape artist, emeka ogboh, small crab, salamanda, mogambo, and soso tharpa.

Yollks is a producer/DJ and vocalist based in Naarm who co-runs label and club night 'Fluxx' alongside House Mum. Tied together with catchy samples, rushing breaks, hard hitting bass hooks and dirty synths, Yollks’ sound ignites an air of euphoria whilst also allowing one to be grounded in fast paced beats and rhythm on the dance floor. 
She has a keen ear for anything breakbeat, DnB, and electro oriented - and Yollks channels this into high energy twists and turns that are prominent in both her DJ sets as well as her own productions. This has seen her support internationally acclaimed artists HAAi, Tred, X CLUB., AK Sports and Kessler. Yollks’ releases can be found on labels such as Inner Theft, Local Knowledge, Phenomena, Spinning Around and Fluxx and she has also created mixes for the likes of Steel City Dance Discs, Threads Radio and more.

There's no doubt Porto-based Brasilian Albin is a lover of drums. As a DJ he flirts with rhythm whether he's playing downtempo cuts, bass weight or more rave-inspired breaks and UKG. 

This passion is translated through his label too. Since 2018 he's been helming Yellow Island Records with the help of label family LA-based producer Etari and fellow Porto-based Brasilian Radino.

There's a distinct UK influence to the output, you'll hear breakbeat, garage, jungle, IDM and braindance sounds coming from producers like Kessler, Boulderhead, XTMR and more, plus there's plenty of compilations to sink your teeth into.

The UK connection is also kept alive through the label's residency on South East London's Balamii Radio which sees him invite label mates and like-minded DJs to take over the controls each month.

Just like Albin asserts, his mix for us is fluid and energetic - and there's absolutely no messing about, he gets straight into it from the jump. The drums take centre stage throughout, flipping between rolling and skippy patterns that sit over dub-wise atmospheres and tittering percussion - whether you're on your morning run or making a beeline for the dance floor, this will keep those energy levels up.
